Moving of Announcements Board

After the issue of the use of this forum, and its visibility (or lack thereof) in the Welcome category, I've just made a little re-shuffle so that we now have an entirely separate category for it.

Nothing ground-shattering, just letting people know before they start asking.

Also, nearly all major announcements on policy will be posted in there, so check it from time to time, and it will act as a reference area for major policy and changes.

Isn't making the same post in different forums a banning offence?

Dunno if it's a good idea or not. I have Announcements in my favourite boards list, so I see it updated every time I log on. All this has done is change the order of my favourite boards, which is really confusing

Good idea, but I hope that eventually it will mean that more people see it. It would probably be best if everybody had the board in their favourites list...

 

I used to that but as of late, the true Announcements are being posted in Coms and Announcements is just a place for KW to post new mod welcome threads- threads that should be in Coms. I propose that either a thread be created in Announcements for the purpose of announcing mods or mod-announcements are left to Coms- which they initially are but for some reason they're reposted in Announcements by KW. Okay enough rambling.

I have given a couple other reasons before, and I'll give them again. It also serves as a log/history of when admins were promoted (without having to go back through every other thread in Communications). Also, it was done in the past, and I see no reason to stop.

Well then why don't we just have one thread in Announcements for the purpose of announcing new mods. That would be a perfect little log/history.
