Mpeg to Avi in AE

    My editing program can't import mpegs, so I tried importing them into AE, and exporting them into another format. I've tried both mov and avi, but both lower the video's quality substantially and even mess up the audio. How can I do this?

    Try exporting as a dvsd avi at 100% quality and no compression on the audio.

    I don't see that as an option in File>Export

    Use Make Movie under Composition instead.

    I've tried using the render queue for regular avi, and that doesn't work, but once again, I see no option for dvsd avi.
