Artist MsLanna's Bits and Pieces, *~ 12/27 Cover for Diary Challenge Story 2011

Lanna, as I just said to you on deviant art, this is brilliant. For somebody who never did work this way and with such digital materials you did a perfect job.

But most important: this face has character and radiates real life.

I never got tha hang of oils, earlybird.
And I never managed to get my templates onto the canvas either.

Do not exaggerate so abldy, Azure, I might start believing it.
Anyway. I got stuck on my current project:

So I decided to try something I wanted to do for a long time: colour in this pic by Iverna.

First I copy the lines.

Then groundwork for the different coloured bits.

And now it looks okay-ish even without the lines over it to make it recogniseable.
First shading and mouth.

It's from where he watches that Quidditch match. I did have to remove his silly fur cap though. Horrible, horrible thing.

Highlihgts started on the hair and the face generally cleaned up.
And I started on the uniform...

Thank you earlybird. Seems that might take quite some time, though. Seems I can never be satisfied with a pic. So I got into a challenge with a deadline for a change. Supposed to be Snape...

You did some cool stuff while I was busy painting in my parents garden, being upset for various reasons, speaking on the phone to old teenage day friends, doing some more paintings and meeting study plas.



You are a miracle, Lanna dear, and your Thrawn is. And your Snape is.

For next year's Diary Challenge (which, as usualy, I didn't want to join) I got a great idea and put my abounding energies into a cover.
