One or two funny lines in a tv show does not validate its existence. (Why Star Trek has lasted this long no one knows, someone sold their soul to the devil for that one.)

Are you mocking the existence of MST? Seriously, the writing on that show has got to be some of the best on TV. They do on that show what we all do & have done for years. They just get paid for it.

from the kind of corny speech at the end of the new SciFi channels Battlestar Galatica.

Instead of saying Amen they say "so say we all" Its supposed to be this moving heroic speech with the chant So say we all but it doesn't quite get there.

So the new Battlestar Galactica sucked, huh? That's too bad. Did they ever show the Cylons in their robot form? That reminds me, I still need to get the MST version of Space Mutiny back. That's the late 80s sci-fi movie that stole all it's special effects shots from BG tv series stock footage.

I didn't say it sucked, actually it was pretty good
it's just that one little speech started out good but lost momentum.
yes they didi show the robot Cylons
    they look bad ass
they also show the old cylons from the first series in a museum.

I have space mutiny on mpeg i can burn a copy for you if you want.

Can you burn it to a DVD? I swear, that is such a bad movie. Even by MST standards, though Cave Dwellers ranks right up there. I think the ones I like the best are the ones featuring well known, respected actors. Ok, well, known actors anyway. Space Travellers actually wasn't all that bad. The effects are very dated though. Gregory Peck & Gene Hackman way back when. I can't remember who else was in it, but know there were a couple other famous people.

That's right- The Finder of Lost Loves was in it. I'd initially put Marooned in there but edited myself. I couldn't remember which title MST aired it with. "Dude! CHeck it out! Stony's shroomin'!"

    yeah it was space travellers

BTW: I'm looking for places to download MST3K episodes online but am having trouble finding any. any ideas

I've tried Kazaa but I can never get anyone to stay online long enough to let me download an episode.
and winmx doesnt have any MSTs.
The rest of the peer sharing places are pretty useless as well in that regard.

TheMightyTorgo: I'm having toruble finding resources myself. Oh, you're probably wondering who I am? Right?

Just another MSTie who used the Search on the top of my screen to locate another fringe MST3K/JC support group.

The last thread I found was in Pittsburgh, Pennslyvania but that died quite a while ago. If you wouldn't mind I'd like to contribute to the discussion here.

I'm in New York (probably 1/3 of the country away from Nebraska). ;)

I'd also like to address that fellow who said MSTies are geeks: that actually couldn't be farther from the truth.

It takes a advanced comedy palate to understand -- let alone enjoy sarcastic MST3K humor from Mike/Joel and the 'Bots.

Unfortunetly for us though, Sci-fi ceases airing re-run episodes January 31st. A dark dark day that shall be. :(

BTW, my favroite episode is Final Sacrifice. [face_laugh]

The best place I've found so far is the Digital Archive Project. I cant remember the web site but do a google search for mst3k digital archive and it should come up.

You can't download directly but if you're a member you can order DVDS and mpgs on cd's

I think this may be a better place than any of the peer-sharing networks. You never know whose going to start throwing lawsuits around next regarding those networks. And they have been going after small time users with these suits. At least this way the website gets sued and not you.

I watched "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" on Christmas Eve. Cripes, what a bad movie! To quote Frank & Forrester, "Deep hurting! Deeeeeep Huuuuuurting!"

yes that one is an exceptional sspecimen. I espcially enjoyed the moving theme music as well as the Patrick Swayze Christmas carol.

BTW: Which MST3K episode has deep hurting in it? I'm thinking it's one of the Hercules ones.
