It is one of the most amazing encounters with a Sea-Serpent that I have ever read or heard of. It is definetly something you should all read.

One of the most fascinating cryptozoological cases of the 20th century comes to us from Point Pleasant, West Virginia... and involves a large, headless, winged humanoid.

 

Con Rit

One of the most mysterious of the many cryptids of Southeast Asia is the aquatic con rit. Found in the oceans off Indochina, the con rit has been the cause of much curiosity in the cryptozoological community. "Con rit" is the name given to the creature by Vietnamese natives. In that language it means "centipede" or "millipede", which fits the creature's strange description.
The most remarkable evidence for the existence of the con rit comes from a Mr. Tran Van Con, who reportedly discovered and touched a dead, beached con rit on the shore of Along Bay Vietnam in 1883. It was a remarkable sixty feet long and three feet wide, dark brown on top and yellow below. The body was made of chitinous segments three feet wide and two feet long. These segments were hexagonal in shape, with a 2'4" filament protruding from both sides of each segment. The tail segment was similar, but two extra filaments protruded from the bottom corner of the hexagon. When Mr. Tran Van Con touched the segments, they were hard and produced a metallic sound, similar to the sound produced by the shell of a horseshoe crab. Unfortunately the head of the creature was missing.
The Con Rit bears a striking resemblance to the Oriental dragons of ancient legend. Described as long, serpentine creatures with tough hides and many fins, faces bristling with tentacle-like whiskers, the dragons of Southeast Asia can be found in deep sea caverns and are usually benevolent. It is possible that such legends are based on ancient sightings of living con rits, and indeed it is said that a very con rit-like creature once swam up the Bay of Tonkin in ancient times.
Noted cryptozoologist Bernard Heuvelmans believes that the con rit, if it exists, is a form of archaic whale, stating that several early cetaceans possessed similar plating. He cites it as the cause of many sea serpent sightings around the world's tropical seas and has formally designated it as Cetioscolopendra aeliani. However, a far more sensible view of the creature is that of cryptozoologist Karl Shuker, who believes that the con rit is an invertebrate, perhaps a gigantic isopod or an undiscovered form of aquatic chilopoda.

Could that be, a Giant Anaconda of the Congo jungle on the bottom left?

 

I got more info on this picture:

The picture above was taken in 1959 by a Belgium helicopter pilot, Col. Remy Van Lierde, while on patrol over the congo. The snake he saw measured approximately 40 to 50 feet in length, dark brown/green with a white belly. It had triangle shaped jaws and a head about 3 ft x 2 ft. Experts have analyzed the pictures and have verified them as authentic. They also have verified the size of the creature by matching ground features to the snake. As the helicopter flew in lower the snake raised up 10 feet and looked as if it would strike at the helicopter if they flew any closer.

 

there's a merman skeleton in Banff, supposidly, i can't remember where, but my friend has a postcard of it, its creepy

I was driving home from work around 5:20 PM, enjoying the sunset while driving. I noticed a strange object maneuvering among the contrails in the sky and thought I would snap a photo while driving. This photo was taken at the corner of Tenaya Way and Cheyenne Road outside of Las Vegas, on March 2, 2005. I was on Tenaya getting ready to turn onto Cheyenne.

When I got home, I noticed I didn't get that craft but got something else in the lower left-hand corner. The weird thing is, the area where the lights appear in the photo is a flood control basin, so there aren't any lights there.

If this is what I think it is, it's mind boggling. There are what I believe to be 3 craft that are distinctly visible. I would be very interested in what others have to say about this photo. Thank you.

Stealth pursuing UFO?

This past August my wife and I were at White Sands National Monument Park in New Mexico. This area is located right between White Sands Missile Testing Range to the west and south, and Holloman Air Force Base, home of the F-117 Stealth Fighter to the east. Also, Trinity Test Site where the first A-bomb was detonated is to the north of this area.

It was a clear sunny day with a few high thunder clouds. As we were driving we heard the sound of aircraft and looked up to see an F-117 Stealth fighter zooming by. This is not unusual, as they take off from Holloman and do training runs over the desert. You usually only see them taking off or landing over White Sands park though. This time it was a bit unusual because this fighter came back two more times at higher altitude over the Park. This picture was taken during it's 3rd fly over; it was heading south at very high speed.

It wasn't until this week when I was reviewing the photos that I noticed a small speck ahead of the jet fighter. On zooming in, the object appeared solid and disk shaped. I did not see it through the viewfinder when I took the picture. I don't have any fancy photo editing software, but I was able to increase the contrast on the zoomed photo and the object looks as solid and dark as the Stealth fighter.

I'm wondering was this F-117 chasing a UFO over the base? Was it tracking some new missile launched by White Sands/NASA?

The photo was taken with a Sony Mavica disc camera on auto settings. If anyone wants a copy of the photo to run through advanced imaging let me know.

The Banshee, a harbinger of death rides on horseback through the West Virginia night. For hundreds of years those of Scottish ancestry have feared this black shrouded entity with glowing red eyes, as her eyes may be the last thing they ever see.

Rhett was a great kitty (a twin of Yeti). A few years after he crossed over due to old age, this pix was taken in the yard of the hummer feeder he LOVED to watch. This blurry cat-Rhett-'ghostly' appeared in the photo. I have several pix taken of the birds and plants around this spot taken within a few minutes and nothing at all was in any of the other pix except Dear, and gone a few years, RHETT! Proof to us that our little ones visit where they loved to be and he was not allowed outside. And on this OTHER side of the window, where he IS happily sitting under where the birds fly and eat... what comfort that his is a happy ghost cat that now is where he wanted to be on this side! Mongolian Death Worm

The Mongolian Death Worm, aka Allghoi Khorkhoi, was first sighted in 1926 in the Southern Gobi Desert in Mongolia. It is described as a thick-bodied worm about 2 to 4 feet long. The creature is reported to be able to spray a acid like substance that causes death instantly. It is also claimed that this creature has the ability to kill from a distance with some sort of super charged electrical charge. Numerous Mongolians have reported seeing this creature including a Mongolian Premier. The creature is reported to hibernate during most of the year except for June and July when it becomes active.

 

Are Dinosaurs still alive in Colorado, USA? The "dinos" are said to walk exclusively on their hind legs; to stand about 3 feet tall; and to have armlike appendages instead of forelegs. The reptiles usually are seen near a wet environment and move swiftly.

"I was sitting on the couch, and looked out the front door," the woman, who did not wish to be identified, told the Journal. "I saw something, not a lizard, really, about 3 1/2 feet long and 3 1/2 feet high. It moved very fast. As far as I remember, there were only two legs that seemed to balance it. It was kind of unusual, I didn?t know if I was seeing things, or what. I never had anything like that happen before. I thought, ?Maybe it?s someone?s pet?, I wasn?t frightened; I just thought it was unusual."

"I live in Pueblo, Colorado. I moved out here when I was six and have since heard stories of the praire devil, the pig man and the mini-rex?.

Me and my friend were riding dirt bikes?..when we observed something move across the clearing in front of us. It was three to four feet long, greenish with black markings on its back, and a yellowish-orange underbelly.

It walked on its hind legs, never dragging its tail, its front limbs (I call them limbs because they were more like arms than anything) [like a T=rex?] were smaller in comparison to the back ones and it had four or three claws. It also had some kind of lump or horn over each eye. When it noticed our presence, it let out a high pitched screech.

 

Cryptomundo has reported that Peter Brown, the co-discover of the new species known as **** floresiensis (or Hobbits - because of their small stature) is defending his position against biologist Robert D. Martin of the Field Museum in Chicago who, in the May 19th issue of Science, claimed the now famous LB1 skull is not that of a new-discovered extinct species, but a modern **** sapiens afflicted with microcephaly. ?Some people see exactly what they want to see, for a variety of reasons,? claimed brown.

 

On Creepy Canada. they counted down the top 10 most terrifying ghost encounters of Canada. I guess that is why the Windigo wasn't on the list.
