Thank you again Scott and everyone who attended. My full report is in the planning stages, since I want it to really reflect what this event meant to us as well as to our groups as a whole.

Thanks to Balance of Power for the show as well as letting us in on the fun afterwards!

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday. We appreciated that you took the time to drive so far and that you brought so much yummy food for the potluck. Scott and I enjoyed seeing folks from so many groups get together for a day, and it was a real pleasure to have a chance to meet and chat with so many of you. We really enjoyed the Balance of Power performance and their demonstrations afterward, the insane pilots overhead were an unexpected form of entertainment, and even the weather cooperated quite nicely. (It has been raining here all day today.) Thank you also to Eva and the others who helped us clean up afterwards. Your help was greatly appreciated!

We had a total of 53 people attend the picnic, representing 6 different costuming or fan groups, and from the first arrivals to the last departure the picnic lasted 10 1/2 hours! I'd say that's a pretty good turnout! We will definitely have to continue arranging group gatherings like this. It was a lot of fun. (And I'd even be willing to travel next time!)

This is a link to my best group photo. (Another thank you goes out to our photographers!) If anyone has a better photo: sharper, composed better, with more people visible or looking at the camera, etc... please let me know. I'll be looking for the best possible picture to print out for my events scrapbook.

    Thanks again,

    Pam :)

Thanks for a great time! I'm totally bummed I had to leave early and missed the demonstrations. Someone will have to fill me in. Thanks Tionne for being the ride home for Belda & Matt.

On the SFFF boards on the second page of this same event look for Kay_Dee's post.

She has a link with great pictures that she took.

Since I am back in a limited capacity, I can finally say that is was so much fun at Scott and Pam's house for the picnic.

I wanted to Officially thank Scott and Pam for opening up their home to all of us and making it a great time had by all!

It was a wonderful day except the part when I thought Belda was on her way to the grave when a bee started buzzing around her. I thought for sure we were gonna have a Jedi funeral for Belda from dying of fright.

It was great seeing all the fan clubs there and it was really nice to know that the groups are now more than just the boards here. We have grown in a positive light and we will keep on growing stronger.

I will have all the photos I took up by later today and they will be at the SVRF web site. Here is one that says it all though ...

It was fantastic seeing all the clubs in a group photo. And look! I see Mr M in there as well! ;) ;)

The day was spent making new friends and seeing old but true friends. Darth Dikum even got his autographed Elvis Trooper Card with the rest of us! How cool was that!?!

The food was great (and lots of it!), the company was great, and the weather was great. And just when you think it couldn't get any better, it did with the apearence of The Cutting Edge Presenting Balance of Power - Episode I: "Into the Lion's Den" - A Jedi Master and his team of four travel to a remote location, in search of a dark master, in his own lair, on his own terms. As fate would have it, they are walking into a trap, as the dark master has forseen their arrival and prepared for all five-their untimely doom. As events unfold, Jedi face Sith one on one. But all clash in the end, as a physical and mental struggle for balance of power continues ...

I am looking forward to going and watching this group on stage. They were very impressive in Scott and Pam's back yard, and I can only imagine what they would be like on stage. I really thought the sequenced slow motion part was awesome! Can't wait to see them in action!

And the sunset was incredible from Scott and Pam's, very VERY well kept, backyard. And at sunset, those who are in the know about "Superman Returns" were dying to get the right pictures. ;) So this one's for you TJ. It came out great bro. This pic has been resized for the boards, so don't worry, I have the original size and resolution and will send it to you bro. But for now, here you go TJ Kent ;) ...

    Not bad big guy. ;)

And for those who missed this wonderful time, here are a couple more pics to show you what I am talking about...

And can I take a pic of the sunset or what?[image=http://swanb.net/windwheel1.jpg]

For those who missed it, you really missed a good time.

And in my injured state I would like to personally thank Rogue 17 for driving. I have been in no shape to drive in my heavily medicated state and Rogue 17 was good enough to drive me. Thank you very much, from the bottom of my heart. It was a blast riding with you and TJ. Thank you Princess. The three of us had a great time driving down and back, and we, ehemmm didn't seem to get lost. [face_whistling]

And once again for the SVRF - Thanks Scott and Pam for opening up your home to all of us and letting us enjoy the day and each other's company. And I know TI 6381 aka Chanel was looking down at all of us that day, smiling as she created a perfect day of sunshine for us. She is still and will always be deeply DEEPLY missed.
