    No, this isn't about British media lol

    Anyone else here like this show?

    It's one pf my favorites. I enjoy detective dramas and love history. This offers both. I get to learn especially about Canadian history, which is awesome, becoming more familiar with my adopted Motherland ;)

    Lots of famous historical figures make appearances.

    William Shatner, i.e. Captain Kirk back in the day, played Mark Twain in one episode!

    I had no idea Twain was controversial ampng his contemporaries on both sides of the US-Canada border, for his anti-imperialist views, trash talking BOTH the British Crown and the US government lol

    Amazing show, all in all. Best of Canadian TV, in my opinion.

    I've never watched the show, but our library has a full set of the DVD releases. It's popular with the same patrons who watch British mysteries, and we've got a lot of such people in town.
