Me and kooky music go hand in hand most of the time!

Arun, you'd know a good bit of software for extracting audio cd tracks to MP3?

I don't do MP3 Poodu...I'm one of the last remaining suckers who purchase their music from shops in the high street...in a bag and stuff...Just up until the court case I though Napster was some funky mothercare item

But on a serious note theres a few sites that give you virtual players but I can't think of any off the top of my head...Jon's a safer bet...he's more 'New Technologies'

No..I don't want anything to do with MP3 myself...but I want to be able to make my own compilation CDs and to do that I want to extract the tracks of my CDs and store them on my harddrive in MP3 (less space than WAV as you know).

I have an audio burner so I can record vinyl....well mostly I record everything on to mini disc and then transfer it to CD....the CD's aren't as cheap as the PC ones but it's a easier to compile

Finally got the Turin Brakes single today. It'd brilliant, it's the best song of the year so far for me. I'm definitely going to get their album now, it's only a tenner in HMV.

That's good to hear Bash. I bought the 'Showbiz' album by Muse over the weekend. I really like it, it reminds me so much of Radiohead actually. Thanks for recommending it you guys. :)

Laura, I haven't heard anything bad about the My Vitriol album yet!

I'm going to teach myself to play the guitar. In a funny way, I think it'll be easier that way.

I believe I misjudged Barenaked Ladies' new album, Maroon, in a previous post in this thread. I'd like to retract those comments and say that Maroon is one of the best albums in my collection!! If you like Barenaked Ladies type music, get Maroon now! Great album...

Hey you guys, how many CD's do you buy in a week?!

Bash, to answer something you asked ages back (in an indirect way), I hardly know what you are talking about in this post most of the time :) That is why I have only come here a couple of times. There is always a hope that someone will one day actually be talking about an artist I have heard of!!

Or am I just incredibly ignorant?!
