Music to my ears...

So outside my window I can hear the marching bad practicing....

They are playing wonderful songs like the shagadelic one on Austin powers... and...

STAR WARS!

I'm so happy.

 

Last year in the marching band, we had a show where we played a John Williams mix (mostly the Cantina Band mixed with Duel of the Fates) and a piece that had the Imperial March (and Star Trek and Lost in Space). The other that we played for the show was the theme from 2001. I loved that show.

And yes, we did get complaints because we would play outside the dorms as early as 8am on Saturdays.

 

i wish when i was in band we did stuff like that . then again 10 years ago i was probably the only person at my school that liked star wars .

 

I was also downstairs and I noticed a flyer for fencing. It featured a close up of Qui-gon Jinn. Then it said: Do you want to learn to weild a lightsaber? Then come to fencing and even you can be a Jedi!

Then it goes on to discuss about what it all entails and hints to more Jedi stuff.

 

Fencing.....Jedi.......hehehehehehe.......I wonder how much those fencers work on protecting their hands and ankles, eh, JD, Terry, Jenn, Firefly..............me. FLOL!!!!

 

I'm more worried about my knees than my fingers. Walking is more important than writing.

 

Well you don't have to worry too much about hands. You've got a guard on the sword. And gloves. As for the knees... that's out of the target zone, so we can't go for them.

 

which style do you do Sarah? (like foil, saber, etc.)
