Celebration 4 was a blast, we packed so much into our California vacation and it was so much fun. So here is the trip report.....

    Thursday (Fan Club Day)
We left Anaheim later than anticipated that day after I changed my train ticket because I realized on Tuesday that I needed checked baggage and the train I had bought tickets for didn't offer the service at that time, so we left Anaheim around 1:30. It was actaully cool since that gave us time to have a nice character breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen and some time to swim in the pool for Julia. We got to our hotel around 3 PM, got costumed up and headed to the LA Convention Center for what was left of fan club day. We pretty much just walked around and figured out what was where and went to the R2 Builders room which was really cool. We also hit the store and bought some goodies and then went back to our room. We also ran into George (he was in the fan film Pitching Lucas, it won last year).

    Friday
We got to the convention about 9:30 AM on Friday and the line was already super long. Well since the store was open 24 hours and since only fan club members still had access, instead of wait in the long line with the rest of the world, we went to the store so that we would get in earlier and I had a shirt to exchange anyway. On Friday we worked our first shift with Official Pix, we sat with Margo Apostolos, she played an ewok in Return of the Jedi. She was really nice, as were all of the celebrities that we encountered throughout the weekend. Earlier in the day we had spent some time in the family room when it first opened and I had to battle my daughter on the kids stage with a lightsaber. We also did some shopping in the morning in the exhibit hall, where anything you could possibly want having to do with Star Wars was located. After our time as a Guest Escort we decided to get some food and to get in the line for Opening Ceremonies. Thank god we had Crew access because the other line was the longest line I have ever seen in my life. Our line was really short, and it never really got that long, but I was glad we got there earlier, just in case. The opening ceremonies were pretty cool, I liked them. The mayor proclaimed May 25th as Star Wars Day in Los Angeles, and then we watched the stamp unveil for the single sheet vote winner, which is Yoda, and then we had cake! Also throughout the show there were short previews of what was going on, such as the One Man SW Trilogy and Star Wars in 30 minutes. We also got to watch clips from the family guy star wars episode and the robot chicken star wars episode (airing tomorrow night, my DVR is set), as well as announcements from Lucasfilm and Lucas Arts. I for one am happy they are coming out with Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga, that will be fun. I can't remember if it was at the opening ceremonies but I know we saw some footage for the Clone Wars animated series, that will be cool. And the best part....Steve Sansweet in an Ewok suit, that was great!

    Saturday
Saturday we got to C4 early, we watched the Family Guy panel, where the creators and writers talked about the Star Wars episode this fall and showed a clip of the episode. We also watched The One Man Star Wars Trilogy by Charles Ross, it was great! He was so funny. We also spent some time in the Family Room, making a Yoda doll with Bonnie Burton. That was fun, my daughter really liked that activity. We were in costume this day as well and I ran into Steve Sansweet in the hallway early in the day and we got our picture with him. After more time checking out all the exhibits and the fan fair hall we went back to the hotel for a much needed nap. After the nap we went back to the LACC to check out the party they were having and watch some fan movies and some of Star Wars in Pop Culture. We headed back to the hotel around midnight.

    Sunday
Sunday we slept in, and went to Hollywood in the morning and early afternoon. We went to the Chinese Theater and signed up for a double decker bus tour, and walked around Hollywood Blvd. for a while, checking out the Hollywood and Highl

Christine! Great thread. I enjoyed meeting you at C4, and I love that you and your daughter got matching jackets. I think half the JC ended up buying one of those things. I brought mine to CE with me. :p
