When it comes to tv shows, the one I most like watching nowadays is "The Vampire Diaries".I've started to watch it from the first season a recent time ago, and now I'm at the 3rd season. The show is nearly perfect from all aspects, and to be honest, I couldn't have understood how seasons 1 and 2 have passed (I shall also watch its spin-off; "The Originals", but I don't want to start it until I finish the 4th season of the show (The Vampire Diaries), for it might include spoilers about the later events). The story (of the show) takes place in an imaginary town called "Mystic Falls".At the beginning of the first season, there were only two vampires (Damon and Stephan) and a witch (Bonnie) at the town, but by each passing episode, the story and the characters have expanded a lot.I don't want to give spoilers for the ones who hadn't watched the show, but since the first episode, lots of characters including more vampires, more witches and werewolves got involved in the story. The ones who'd watched the later seasons tell me that there'd be more characters including a "fully-armed" vampire hunter; which I wonder most among the upcoming characters :) (It seems there're lots of horrifying characters reside in Mystic Falls.Well; you've got to put a man like "Rambo" to that town :) .Rambo ties his boots, ties his head-band, takes his bazooka, enters to Mystic Falls and says "the vampires drew first blood" :) ).

The story contains scary characters, but altough, the show never stupefy the audiences, on the contrary, it has a relaxing way of story-telling, a very beautifull visuality and great action scenes those make the audience feel "within" the story. It might sound odd, but whilst I'm watching the show, I don't feel like an audience, I feel as if I was living in "Mystic Falls", following the events as if I was a citizen of the town, and this is the only tv show that makes "that" kind of an impression on me :) .In fact, it's not a tv show, it's a "VISUAL ADDICTION" which reaaalllyyy grabs the audience. It's obvious that the makers (of the show) had taken their work seriously; therefore, every episode of the story appears equal to the quality of an American Movie :) .The show is nearly flawless, even though, it'd be better if-there-would-be more ordinary teenagers appearing rather than Matt.I've come to the 3rd season and Matt (portrayed by Zach Roerig) is the only ordinary teenager that has left so far (I don't count Elena and Jeremy as ordinary types, for they (especially Jeremy) are the characters those live on the edges).Portraying the only "normal character" of the show gives a heavy burden upon Zach Roerig, but since Mr. Roerig is a great actor, he handles that responsibility so well (his appearance reminds me of the villains of the first "Karate Kid" movie.Well, I suppouse the "Cobra Kai" gang is also involved in the events of Mystic Falls ;) ).Appearance of ordinary teenagers shall also increase the importance of the supernatural characters.Since there are too many teenagers, it'd also be better if the Highschool-scenes-had-appeared more thus far (I'm mentioning the-things-I've-observed until season 3), for increasing the appearance of Highschool scenes is also a very good way of introducing ordinary teenagers to the story.Until S3, the Highschool scenes were limited, and the audiences were "only" able to see the "front-line" characters talking among themselves at the school scenes instead of different teenagers joining their conversations.....

The actor I mostly like his acting at the show is Ian Somerhalder who portrays Damon. He doesn't only act; he gives acting lessons to inexperienced actors/actresses.He's a "MAGNIFICENT" actor, and his endowment in acting also gives an ENORMOUS, TIME-DEFYING, PERPETUAL CHARISMA to Damon. The story appears as a combination of the long-termed drama show "The Young and the Restless" and Anne Rice's "The Vampire Chronicles".I'd watched Tom Cruise (as Vampire Lestat) and Brad Pitt (as Vampire Louis) in Neil Jordan's '94 novel adaptation of "Interview with the Vampire".I hope Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt's fans don't get mad at me :) , but Mr. Somerhalder handles the vampire role better than both of them.In my opinion, his "unique ability" in acting is the foremost element that keeps the show going (I also watched him at J.J. Abrams' mind-puzzling tv show "Lost" :) ).As well as other characters, the series also tell the story of Damon becoming a mature character. At the beginning of the show; he (Damon) is a selfish and an evil vampire, but the ordeals he faces make him a good man in the course of time.Mr Somerhalder SUCCESSFULLY portrays both the good and evil vampire roles, he's an actor who can "easily" suit any role he wants, therefore, his acting gives certain meanings to both good and evil sides of Damon. He displays a treasury of acting performances, which (in my opinion) forms the spinning axis of the series. When it comes to exposition of acting aptitudes, there's-a-scene-towards the end of the 12th episode of the 1st season (named "Unpleasantville") which I like a lot.At the episode, the Highschool organizes a 50's party, and Damon and Stephan use Elena as a bait at the party to get Noah; the vampire who disturbs Elena because of her resemblance to Katherina (Nina Dobrev looks so well with 50's appearance :) ).After they (Stephan and Damon) capture him (Noah) at the cafeteria, they begin to question him about the reason of his acts.Ian Somerhalder (Damon), Paul Wesley (Stefan), Nina Dobrev (Elena) and Dillon Casey (Noah) perform a great four at the scene; the part also appars as kind of an-examination-of-both Somerhalder, Wesley and Dobrev's experiences as their compatibility for making a "team-play" until that episode. This, also is one of the parts at the show; in which Mr Somerhalder carries his acting ability to the EDGE, and takes Damon's CHARISMA to the EXTREME level. The part includes "only" one of the scenes in which Ian Somerhalder shows a demonstration of his aptitude.

I might give an another sample from a scene at the 12th episode of the 2nd season ("The Descent") as a display of his (Mr Somerhalder's) performance. At the episode, after Damon's lover dies (because of the wolf-bite), Damon gets into depression, gets drunken, and by the effect of his rage, he (at the end of the episode) lays himself on the road; pretending as if he was dead. One of the cars passing through the way stops, and the woman who drives the car (named Jessica) gets off to check if he was allright.Damon (drunkenly) stands up and begins to talk with her, and after chatting with his prey, he bites her and sucks her blood in a matter of saying "it was easier to be evil, why have I become good, it gained nothing to me".At the part; Mr. Somerhalder's-acting-reaches-to the PEAK, and with his unrivalled performance, Damon's IMMORTAL, ULTIMATE CHARISMA ascends to the CLIMAX.And also, designing the part as same as the beginning of S1E1 gives a greater soul to the part.At the pilot episode, Damon uses exactly the same method (lying on the way as if he was dead) to hunt his victims.....

I was mentioning about the comic-adaptations at my previous topic (the 13th one; "Conan the Barbarian (2011)" ), and it made me recall (Christopher) Nolan's take-ons for Batman. He (Nolan) did a "brilliant" work with reviving the super-hero from his ashes, but since Batman is very popular nowadays, I don't think that the adventures of our winged-vigilante would stay bounded with Nolan's trilogy, and I'm rrrrealllyyy wondering how (Zack) Synder's "Superman vs. Batman: Dawn of Justice" shall be.Well; since the caped-crusader is so popular, sooner or later, but inevitably his foremost foe "The Joker" shall appear again.I had watched both actors Cesar Romero, Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger as Joker. When I compare Romero's Joker to Nicholson and Ledger's portrayings (of the character), he (Romero's Joker) appears "only" as a criminal with a clown make up and a laugh.Cesar Romero might have been a good actor, but there wasn't any deepness in the character he portrayed.Different from Romero, Nicholson and Ledger gave various deepness to the Joker. In some ways; it's-hard-to-make a comparison between the two Jokers. And it might sound odd, but to compare Nicholson's Joker to Ledger's is like comparing "sandwich" to "fruit-juice".You take them from the same restaurant, but both gives a different satisfaction to you :) .

Well, I'm not making a comparison between them, but I like Ledger's Joker a bit more, he comes "cooler" for me, and since the character's appearance is inevitable, I would like the next Joker to be portrayed by Ian Somerhalder a lot in a "Batman movie" which shall eventually be made in the following years (well; I know that the character (of Joker) will re-appear at the movie "Suicide Squad" (which'll appear in theatres in 2016), and will be portrayed by Jared Leto, but this is the fact that always different actors/actresses step in the roles of the super-heroes and super-villains, I mean it's not a "must-be" rule for a super-hero/villain to be portrayed by the same actors/actresses :) , and since it's not a "Batman" movie, I think Joker shall not be a foremost character as he was in the previous movies).Since he (Mr Somerhalder) is a perfect actor; I'm sure he'll find a new definition for the fierce-side of the iconic criminal and make him appear as a very remarkable character with his acting talents :) ...............
