My Costume

This is my new costume for tomorrow (made by my loving husband!)

I wanted a green lightsaber but my husband is very impatient and got me this one instead! Still very cool though.

 

Great costume! I'm really happy to see more and more fans on these boards that WANT to do the whole dressing up bit and making an effort when they go see the film!

I'm that guy you met dressed as a Dark Jedi after the showing in Leicester Square!

Your costumes were great, the Padme one was also good.


It was good to meet some other Star Wars fans. Most of my friends like it, but not to the extent that I do. And they all think I'm a geek cos of the dressing up yadda yadda, (well I am but I'm proud of it.)

It was a great night for it and we all thought your costume was great (apart from me cos when I first saw you I had the Vader helmet on and thought you were doing a poor and untimely Darth Maul impression, but when I took the helmet off and could actually SEE you I realized it wasnt a Maul but a very good Sith lol and I know you dont get good Sith lol) Nice to see you here btw

Hi J, nice to see you (well, see your typing) again. You don't know how good it was to see someone else who made the effort to dress up too; nice one by the way. Let us know if you're ever going anywhere all dressed up and no-one to ... go with. I kept asking people if they were gonna be dressed up and they either said "mumble mumble" or "nah". Sorry it's taken so long to reply, Louise eh? Cool, she looked good!

Your costumes were great, good work on the Vader one! How long did it take you? And Kiz you made your robes? You must be good with a needle and thread!

I'm not suprised you thought I was Maul, those robes were from my Darth Maul costume. I went to Episode 1 and 2 as him.

I'm always interested in putting my gear on and going to.. erm.. anywhere really. None of my mates are into SW as much as me and deffinitely not into the whole costume thing, which sucks cos if I could spend all my time making costumes, make up, props etc, that's what I would do!

Do you guys ever go to conventions or anything like that?

I have an old Boba Fett costume that I had made back when the re-releases came out, but I want to remake that cos I'm not happy with it anymore.

At the moment I want to try n' get hold of some good Stormtrooper armour from somewhere and then see if I could join the 501st's. Know anywhere to get any good armour?

Lets, see: The costumes are made by me (not the wife) exept her outer robe cos I didnt have time to make her one b4 the film came out. We dont go to conventions (I was a costume virgin till that night) cos we dont know where they are and as far as trooper armour goes, pm me for details We'll pass your on to Lou-Lou.

 

Btw, if you wanna meet up 4 a drink and a 12 hour starwars session, give us a shout - we would love to have you round our place

You were a costume virgin eh? Well for a first costume, that was excellent work!!!
I would totally be up for drinks and a 12hr SW session, that sounds great and ferrets are cool! I've never held one, but I reckon if I did I wouldn't wanna put it down all day, (unless it bit me of course!)

I have some picks of us at opening night, but I dunno how to make them into thumbnails, so if you tell me how, I'll stick them up here.

 

Basicaly you need a website (i.e. your own or a mates). You upload the pics onto your chosen website and post a link to them here. If you want the picture to show up on the boerd, post the link like this: [ image=http://web.address/image.jpg ] but dont leave any spaces between the two [ ].
If you dont have a host website go to http://www.freewebs.com and sign up for a free account and use the website builder. The websites are not great but ok to host pics from. Basically its just like using any windows application. If you cant do that then send them to me and I'll post them
