    Now only if Sil would.....

What, remove the photo from her profile so you couldn't see what she looks like?

I know what Sil looks like from one of the older photos. She doesn't have the one i have in her bio anymore.

I was only playing around. You didn't have to kill my tiny joke.

You didn't have to kill my tiny joke.

Well, let this be a lesson to you. In future ensure your jokes make sense before posting.

    Which is?

My last dog had a name when we adopted her; "Rebel". Quite teh inappropriate name for a female, so we changed it to a reference to an old cartoon favorite with "Pebbles". She understood it.

Calvin [see above] had a few terrible suggested names, though I thought "Vader" was most appropriate. He still responds to "Calvin", "Vader", and "Rufus" [an inside joke that my sister came up with]. It's quite funny how his mood changes depending on what name we call him in with.

kacey.....which while i don't really like it, it seems to be a pretty common dogs name, who knows why

naming pets is always hard, dogs especially, with cats i don't think it really matters as much

My lab's name is Random, but we call him Randy. Since we had him fixed, I sometimes call him hermaphrodite.

He doesn't seem to mind. Being called hermaphrodite, I mean. He did seem to object to the removal of his testicles a bit.

It killed me having to have it done. I know it's the responsible thing to do, and that it may keep him from running off all sex crazed and getting hit by a car, but it just seems so mean.

The vet, while trying to tell me I was doing the right thing, would say things like "Well, this will eliminate the risk of testicular cancer." Yeah. I suppose maybe I should cut off my own to prevent the same thing. Or maybe I should cut off my head to make sure I don't get brain cancer.

He was shaking uncontrollably when I picked him up from the vet. He had to wear the cone on his head for 10 days. And he still loves me, which somehow makes me feel even worse.

    Poor hermaphrodite.

He probably looked down, saw his favourite licking place had been removed and thought "Dogs are man's best friend and you have done this to me - What on earth do you do to your enemies?" ;)
