Prenn, by NO means go. I refer to my story that involved break up followed by two weeks in Europe. It was also a somewhat good terms thing... but that time with her like that was absolutely devastating to me in some regards. Specifically because no matter what could be said, there were things i wanted out of it that she, at that time, didn't. Don't do it. I know it sounds good ahead of time, but I think it comes with a lot of frustration and regret.
Last year on my birthday, my (ex) BF broke up with me by telling me that he was in love with somebody else. That's probably the worst one for me.

I've done that before... you become so used to sharing every detail with a person, and then suddenly it's not appropriate to do so, and you do it without thinking. Don't beat yourself up over it, Austin.
Well she returned my email! Which I didn't think was going to happen. Turns out she has had a pretty crappy coulpe of days too, like me. So that's comforting, I guess.
Do you see how comforted you are that she returned your email, and that she said she's had a couple of crappy days? Tell me again, how you are going to be able to spend a booty call weekend with her, without going through a mind****. You can call the airline and cancel that trip. You can also replace the trip with another one. Go someplace you've always wanted to go for a weekend by yourself. Get some good me-time in. I think that would be far more beneficial to you than a booty call with your ex.

This thread is quite the rollercoaster. Makes me glad my breakups have all been fairly amicable and after the short-term. Sorry you have to deal with all of this, Prenn. Indeed, we're at a very nice 50s-70s fluctuation. Makes for good wardrobe stability.
