Hey guys... I think I've only been using max for about a week now and I'm making an area for a lightsaber duel. This is the very beginning though...

The mustafar background is only temporary

Can you guys please give me ideas for textures, detail and other parts of the place (I think I'm going for a mix between kamino and mustafar).

    Thanks

damn why you all do the same balcony over and over again XD. I remember at least 5 people have started on it and Pixelmagic has the most completed version. Somebody please finish it :p.
Anyways very nice start for 2 weeks of experience.
I like the other catwalk, thats a cool idea ;)

    Very true.

It's a good start but needs more detail (I must have said that in about 3 different threads this past fotrtnight).

LOL!!! I'm just really using the mustafar balcony as inspiration... I never said i was making mustafar, i only said im basing it sort of around mustafar and kamino...

And yeah I agree that it lacks some detail (I'm hoping that the texturing will cover up that a bit)... Anyone got any suggestions...

Mind if I asked how you learned so quickly?
Because I may be getting max sometime this weekend and I'd love to get the basics down quickly, and stuff...hehe
Did you just watch tutorials, or what?
    Thanks.

Sorry for the extremely late reply. But i just mucked around with it and searched for tutorials... I got the hang of it pretty quickly.

Hansolo102, do you have MSN or anything, i am still interested. If you wanted me 2 do something in 3d studio max, i suck at EVERYTHING except detail. So all I could do for you is make a scenario or room, but not even texture it lol. I'm pretty much useless 2 you with 3d stuff. On the other hand, if u still need an fx guy PM me or send me an email.

If you're serious about what you are doing you should forget about texturing. It's not gonna hide your lack of modelling. You should keep modelling till you are good at that then move on to a new skill. This model is way to under-detailed.
