Vivec, the guy's proud of his achievements. It's worthy of pride. Stop raining on his parade because it gives you wood makes you feel better.

Did you see that Mad Men when Ken got his short story published? You're Pete Campbell in that episode. A horrible thing to say, sure, but stop being a Pete. Nobody likes Pete. He's an ass.

To be completely fair in that scenario though, no one likes ken either.

This is like all of those terrible Saturday morning cartoons where the hero makes some important accomplishment making their friend jealous and plot horrific bloody revenge on said hero. It always ends badly. But it's so damn funny to watch unfold too.

It didn't end bad for ron weasley. He got the girl in the end. Harry probably ended up with years of therapy and the chick left in the basement dungeon that everyone forgot/didn't want.

If you had to pick one of them, Ken > Pete.

I mean, Ken was in LA Noire!

I just hope this isn't a 10 novel cycle....20 years for the first one....I don't have that kind of time for the series.

But congrats anyway. Getting anything published is a big deal.

It was repetitive, dull, had a pointless open world, and its key mechanic became boring shortly into the game. The storyline then became hackneyed and the ending was idiotic.

    Yes it sucked.

I'm going to write a novel about a schoolbus full of children in which the escape doors are inexplicably jammed and is stuck in the path of an oncoming train with a fully loaded 747 experiencing total engine failure careening towards the impending trainwreck. Juliet and Vivec will give my book all the publicity it will ever need and I will include a dedication to OZK's foreskin too.

So, Ender, Holland huh? Are you in need of steering equipment for your boat by chance?

Get OZK to write the foreword to your book. The editor will no doubt chop his foreword from the first edition. With a lot of effort and convincing on OZK's part, he might be able to get the editor to restore at least a portion of it in future editions.

Well, I took the time to read the sample preview book, and I find it a well-written, concise children's book, with just enough advanced words
to foster educator's vocabulary work sheets. Fine story; nice pacing.

I look forward to reading the text in its entirety, and wish you well in you writing career.

    Cheers!

All the derailing that has been done to this thread probably scared him off.

Doubtful... the derailing is what's kept the link to his book on page one.
