My fondest hope for Star Wars and space sims...

Have any of you seen World of Tanks? It's a free-to-play game that allows you to fight in different types of battles, 15 vs 15. You start with a basic mid-1930s tank, and as you complete battles, you get experience to research upgrades and money to purchase them. If you like, you can buy a premium account to get "good stuff".

The same company is currently working on a game called "World of Warplanes". Wouldn't it be great if LucasArts released something like this for star fighters? The technology is out there, the fan base is out there. I would be in heaven if they would pursue this...
