My friend doesn't receive the password email when she registers. Whats wrong?

Why is this?

 

Is she using hotmail? My password email went straight into the junk mail box.

 

Yesterday I asked for my passwords via email and it never sent them either. So something is wrong.

 

Well here's the reason behind it, but really it requires advanced knowledge of SMTP relays and TCP/IP stacks:

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

 

If it's a Hotmail, MSN, or AOL e-mail account, there's a known issue where the e-mail either shows up in the Junk Mail folder, or doesn't show up at all. If you send a PM to an administrator, they should be able to offer more help.

 

Thanks. I made the mistake of registering my Halloween sock with my Hotmail address and still haven't gotten the password for it.

 

It happens to me all the time. Mostly on the AOL account though.

 

AOL has a problem with sending the JC password information? For the times I have registered I had not had any known problems. Is this new?

 

If you send the account name to myself or one of the other JC Administrators (the Communications forum moderators) we'll look up the password for you.

 

when I registered my sock a few weeks ago, I never got the password either
