My JC New Year's Resolution

What a great idea. Well done guys, this all sounds extremly exciting.

Then with an expansion to the TV forum when the TV show is shown in 2007 and I can see that the future of these boards is secure for a VERY long time to come.

 

That new forum sounds like a great idea!

I know for sure I'll be visiting it a lot

 

Will there be a designated Paeter Jackson/LOTR Vs George Lucas/Star Wars thread? If so, I don't envy the Moderators having to moderate that thread!

Thats a really good idea Moleman one I confess I hadn't thought of. I also agree that its far better to have many detailed threads instead of keeping it all generalized. I look foward to all the detailed threads bout my favorite shows.

 

It would have a fun sort of "Car Crash" value, though.

 

G-FETT, if there was such a thread, I think it would probably end up locked with half the posters from it banned

 

Awesome!!11! Some quick questions, would that forum be open to comparisons between SW(including the EU) and other SF/F franchises (e.g. comparing Han Solo to James T. Kirk or Anakin Solo's demise in SBS to Boromir's in LOTR) as well as the inevitable "Versus" debates? Or would those stay in their current classification? Also, would it be wise to have a "SF/F Community" board for fan clubs and light-hearthed/whimsical threads in addition to the serious/analyitcal "SF/F discussion" board?

I think it's a great idea, and I'm confident that the majority of JC users have other sci-fi interests other than SW.

Of course, given Sape's role in a certain StarTr*k website, I think it's reasonable to assume that this is the first step towards a merger, which would make Sapes the Supreme OverLord of the Entire Internet

 

I'm also going to make a thread about 20th Century Telegraph Poles.

 

Darn it I got a phone call right while I was reading this killer thread. I got all tingly and excited reading it!

I can't WAIT! I think this forum's going to be a huge success and I'm certain that a spin-off sci-fi lit forum will be forthcoming.

Will pre-existing Sci-Fi related threads that are currently in the Amphitheater be moved over, or will they remain where they are?
