Wow, I don't think I've seen a forum fill up so fast.

 

I put an announcement in Collecting for those folks who normally don't post much outside of that forum. I know some of them are fans of Sci-Fi other than Star Wars.

 

I'm very excited about the new SciFi forums, it is great to finally see them up!

 

They're really cool. Thanks guys and gals. I've had a good ol' post in the TV & Film forum this evening and had a great time. I hope the start they've had is an indication of things to come.

 

Geez, you're all very hopeful about the amount of traffic you expect in those forums going by the number of mods assigned to them!
Unless you're all....y'know.....bored and restless anyway

 

It's definitely a good experiment being a new environment to interact in. I'm actually glad 10 mods are overseeing the 2 forums. There's bound to be a lot of redundancy in days ahead. But between the mods and many responsible users, it shouldn't be that bad of a problem.

 

All of those mods also mod other forums, so their online time is not necessarily dedicated to their SciFi forum.

 

Well, there's been a few hundred posts in a few hours, and not everyone checks Comms or anything except for their Favourite Board list, so it may be a while before they find it. When they do, I reckon the mods they've got will be strained to capacity.

 

Yeah I know that a good bit of the mods mod more than one board. Let's just see how the next couple weeks go.

 

I suggest the new boards are advertised on television. I hear lots of people have televisions these days.

 

WTH is up with some of the posts in 3SA about the new forums? Half of that thread is really ridiculous...

I just wish I had better screen resolution The banner is lovely and because my resolution is only 800by600 I miss most of it.

 

What a great idea. I'm glad it has gone as well as it has so far. I even posted a Trek thread without getting shot!

Eh, it seems that the same arguments for/against a SFF forum could be made regarding a sports forum; this move strikes me as rather hypocritical. I don't think it was a good idea to just take away topics from JCC and Amp. I'm probably just repeating the sentiments of others.

 

I love, love, LOVE these boards! All of my favorite non-SW topics located in 2 small boards...I'm one happy poster!
