FF:SA My poor JTN.

As some of you may know & some not know, Jabbathenutt, had the "Snip" done last year. He had 3 tests done & all saying still active. So he went in on Monday the 23rd at noon, to have it redone. This time however was more painful & took an hour instead of half an hour to perform, again he had this done under a local.
Went home, feeling discomfort & some pain, he rested.

Unfortunately things went downhill at bout 4.30 in the morning, when he got up to go to the toilet, he fainted & landed heavily on the tiled floor, somehow luckily missing the door frame on the way down. So I called an ambulance, after he came to & a few minutes later one arrived, but because he was like jelly & couldn't support his own weight, a second ambulance was called to help half carry, half drag him out to the stretcher.

When arrived at the hospital, was put on a drip & with an IV antibiotic. After a few hours, was given a ultra sound to find out the problem & discovered a big blood clot, which would require surgery. He went into surgery under a general bout 8pm last night.

He is doing ok, there is some bleeding, not much pain & the occasional light headed dizzy feeling. At this stage, will spend another night in hospital, where he is recieving good care.

REALLY sorry to hear all this mate. My thoughts and best wishes are with you for a speedy recovery. I sounds horrendous. I hope you are all better soon. Take care mate.

But this compounds my theory that I'd rather go "without" for the rest of my life than go through what you're going through..... Every bloke I've ever known to have the snip has had similar things happen to them.....

Damn, sounds pretty bloody awful, doubly so because it's...well...down there.

Ok, I have an update on JTN.

After breakfast, a doctor came around to examine him, which unfortunately requires touching, & because there was still pain & bleeding, he thought they might go back in, so he went & got a consultants opinion, who agreed, but came himself to examine to make sure, & yes JTN needed to go back in. Because he'd had breakfast, couldn't go straight in, so was taken into surgery just before 1pm.

They found a blood clot 100g in size, but no new bleeding, so they think that it is all done now & no more surgery is required. Fingers crossed. So JTN, is not in pain, except when they examine him, just feels discomfort due to the swelling. Should know tomorrow if he is staying in longer or being discharged.

JTN is home!

They discharged him yesterday at bout 4.30pm, when I was across the road buying a urinal bottle & was only away 10 minutes. So he called me to say to bring the car round the front, as he was already in a wheelchair.

He is resting, still in pain, but showing signs of healing, so thats a relief. (Taking panadeine forte for the pain)

JTN had to go on the computer for a couple of minutes to do his banking, so he thought he'd read about this post, but couldn't stay up any longer to reply, as it was causing him pain. So he asked me to say for him, thankyou for all the support & he hopes to be back doing the stuff that he loves doing.

 

Glad he's home and on the mend
