My Resignation

DA wasn't pushed. I'm sure he'll give you his reasons when he comes online, or you might wanna PM him and ask.

 

OK......these are the reasons I "jumped".

First of, as a teacher, my job is begining to take over my life at the moment. The art Exam starts next week and I have lots of moderation to do after that. In the day and increasingly in the evenings my online time was very limited. To me, the RSA should be available. I found that I was increasingly not able to fulfill this commitment. This was not fair on FF-UK, the administration or you guys in general.

An RSA should be willing and able to get involved in RL. My busy work life (and a healthy social life) restricted my ability and, to be honest, interest in attending meets.

I was also getting sick to the back teeth with many aspects of certain people who post here. There are some who just can't let sleeping dogs lie, move on and let things settle down. Just as it seemed that we were all getting things sorted, some selfish people start the drama all over again, ignoring my advice and pleas. I got fed up with the drama, the constant bitching and immature nature of some here. I also got fed up with RL issues affecting these boards (something that I admit can happen because of the nature of the FF).

While most FF-UKers here seem like good people (can't say because I never met any of you - not a good point as your RSA) I just got fed up with some selfish members who only acted to humour or promote themselves.

Yes, I know the membership of FF-UK isn't the biggest but to be constantly reminded by people here is not helpful.

At Xmas, I had several days off from the boards and to be honest, I didn't miss it as much as I thought I would. This is when I announced my intention tor esign to the OFH - this resulted in the conversations about a second RSA as I agreed to remain in the position for three months to let the new guy settle in. Well, three months have passed and there was no replacement so I decided to brings things to a head and request my demotion.

Well, that's my reasoning.

I wish Seb all the best and fell that you guys have a great RSA.
