There once was a forum known as Welcome New Years, where the regulars celebrated the New Year every day, except on April Fools. On that day, the forum was deleted and three men and two women were chosen to build a new colony. The great father, the Architect, gifted these blessed souls with unimaginable powers of spam, friendliness, and great strength in the index finger. The majority welcomed these gifts with a festival of dancing and joy. However, one of the men, Poof, refused to join the party and plotted his revenge on the father and the community. Thus, trolling was born in the shadows of the happiness of the community.

In response to this new threat, the great father created the moderator ? an individual whose excellence would rival that of the vibrant banners which often lighted the way home to the forum. The moderator, possessing knowledge and skill, was integrated into the community as the law maker. However, the administrator did not have the time to participate in the daily festivities, which made the forum folk suspicious of the moderator?s intentions.

As the days passed into weeks since the creation of the law-maker, Poof felt pressured into commencing his plan. He staged several accidents wherein it looked as if a normal forum member was at fault. The administrator investigated the matter and was quickly supplied with enough evidence to convict the troll. Poof, knowing he was going to be caught, started spamming the forum in an unfathomable rage. While the administrator lacked several of the natural abilities possessed by the forum folk, he/she had been given the gift of the ban by the great father. Thus, the troll was banned and exiled from the community for several days to dwell in the uncharted beyond.

And that?s the story of the Welcome New Years forum, the troll who thought he was wiser than most, and the focused administrator (bias intended ).
