My roomate is Welsh

Hi. I'm a student of Math from Croatia, studying in Switzerland and my roomate is Welsh. I just wanted to say that you guys have the best language in the whole world!!!

Welsh is the oldest language in Europe don't you know and it was the basis of Tolken's Evlish language.

So have you ever been to Wales yourself?

I was in a shop today in my home town and some slapper 16 year old had a pram in the shop with a frickin' cat in it??

But Chavs are a problem Britain-wide, so they ruin everywhere, even Scotland!

 

I suppose your right. To my shame i've never been to North Wales. The furthest North i've been is West Wales, which is an amazing place.

South Wales is certainly the dirtiest, chaviest part of Wales, and i'm sure that if you were to go out looking for a nice area, you would find it.

Just not in the South.

It depends on my mood and if the social scum have been locked up for the night, or if they have been allowed to roam free.

If the second option is in effect, then stay away.

Having said that, once you get out of the industrial and violent south, the rest of the country is amazing.

West Wales is my favourite place in my country.

Beautiful scenery, nice people, good food and not blessedly free of many of the problems other places face.

But for how long??

 

Wales is on my "Places to Go" list. I want to go visit most of the places my ancestors were from. Don't know when I'm gonna get to go, but I will definitely want to come see "the motherland."

(Granted, I also have to go to London, Scotland, Ireland, France, Germany, Canada, and the eastern part of the US to do that.) But Wales is first, since I'm more Welsh than anything else.

At least I don't think you've mentioned it before, but I may be wrong.

You should arrange to come over here with Meriwyn (RSA North East USA). She also has Welsh heritage and would like to visit.

We could have an fanforce exchange programme!

You guys can come over and live in our houses and do our jobs, and myself and Happy Ninja can go over to California and New York and hang out at your places!

LOL! It's a date!

Sadly I don't. And I unfortunately have one of the most un-unique surnames in the English language: Williams. So it's not like I can just track down my past, since it's a pretty common name.

My family never kept records about where they came from. I only can track where in Scotland I'm from thanks to information about my clan online.

Just so you know, when you come over here you'll have to do a poorly paid crappy admin job. Try not to punch to many people in the face, they tend to frown on that kind of thing.
