My Strangest Childhood Star Wars Remembrance...

I thought Yoda was a 900-year-old human.

 

The radio controlled R2 units. They LEARN when I'm not around, I swear. And then they talk. I think they're trying to kill me.

Well, he did kinda look like my grandma.

 

I fell asleep during ESB the first time for just a minute, I think. I dunno...all I could ever remember was Vader's nasty white head in ESB, and the Jedi Spirits at the end of ROTJ.

 

i thought that the death star in ROTJ was just the remains of the death star in ANH. I was like "what the crap is that, it blew up, i saw it blow up."

hehehe

 

seeing A New Hope in the theater during one of the early rereleases, only to fall asleep and wake up right when Darth Vader spins away at the end





That's exactly what happened to me! We got to the theater late too so I didn't get to see anything except for the Jawa scene and the very end . Ah well, I saw the whole thing at a friend's house the week afterwards. *Remembers where it all began...* [dreamy_eyes]


And on a side note, I used to think the order in the saga was ANH, ROTJ, TESB just because after I saw ANH at my friends house, we watched ROTJ the day after (gimme a break, I was a little kid). So when I got the Special Edition and they say ESB is the 2nd installment in the SWT, I was like "What the heck is that? They got their own movie wrong"

The Sandbox thing actually happened to me.

My strangest Star Wars memory would be that I saw ANH in a movie theater when I was four in 1977. Darth Vader, and the costume was incredible, was outside the theater signing pictures for fans. He scared the crap out of me because at that time I had no clue who he was.

 

I voted: having 2 radio-controlled R2-D2s come on mysteriously during the night and talk to
each other Cuz I have one of thouse R2 Robot things and When I first got it I was scared it
might turn on in the middel of the night.

 

"Funny story!
Ok, that makes at least five of us now... "

thats weird-i used to call darth vader,dark invader

 

None of those. Actually it was when I tried to put all of my action figures in a cupboard to see if they'd come to life(Like in Indian in the Cupboard)

 

Yoda does look the part, I must say

 

I voted for the last one because something like that happened. I had a Luke skywalker in pilot gear. I lost him when I was at the beach. A few months later I was digging a hole in my back yard (Which is a about six hours away from the beach) and I found not only a 1977 Luke in x-wing gear but also a 1980 luke in Bespin gear. Freaky

 

I um own only Star Wars and Wyfarer Redemption BOoks so I voted for the pop up book thing. Still have it too...

 

I would have to say the strangest thing I remember is thinking that when people fell into the sarlacc, it was the same as falling into Jabba's stomach.....maybe it was the way Jabba always licked his lips when they talked about it.

I thought Vader was a droid when I first saw ANH when I was 3

 

I said "believing Yoda was really a 900 year-old human", but I also used to think that blaster bolts stunned people instead of killing them.

 

i found the aliens in Jabba's palace scary

 

I actually remember burying every action figure I had only to find that I couldn't find them a week later. I stoned my dog to death after that because I thought she ate them, and she did. I hate her. I hate her.

At least I got them back.
