I'm still working on my ROTS "fried Anakin" sketch. I've been so busy with school, I haven't had much time to work on it. I don't have that much left to do though.

Think I should do a Palpatease or Gold Palpy (the one you just posted)?

Great stuff DarthShona! I especially liked the General Grievous and Darth Vader stuff. I actually have the original Star Wars book which has the Ralph McQuarrie Vader on the cover. (for those who don't know, McQuarrie is the one who did all the concept art for the OT)

I did a revision on my Anakin Unmasked drawing. I took off his eyebrows like they did in the ROTJ DVD.

With the awesome preview of the ROTS trailer, I managed to make my first (mini) desktop with an incredible shot of Sidious....

I'm wrapping up my 'birth of Vader' drawing from the trailer!!

I'm completely done with the operating table, so now I just have to color in Vader himself, but since he's mostly all the same value it won't take long to do at all.

It's almost done! It's coming along well, and I should have it posted on here by the weekend at the latest.

I'm also considering doing a drawing of Sidious with his lightsaber from the trailer! God I love that shot!!!!! (Though he DESPERATELY needs braces LOL!! )

 

Okay, I'm about a week late on having the drawing finished lol. I've been working on it steadily every night this week and I'm happy to announce he's done except for the mask!!! One more day and I will most definitely be finished!!!

Thanks you two. I'm officially done with the birth of Vader sketch, so now all I have to do is scan it and maybe do some touchups since my scanner isn't very high-quality. I'm also nearly finished with my color pencil of Shaak Ti from the Clone Wars cartoon!

 

Okay, here they are at last!!!

I was SO SHOCKED at how well the Vader one scanned! I didn't have ANY touchups to do on it!!!

I know the values aren't EXACTLY like they appear in the quicktime version of the trailer since I used a printed screen shot, but if you're gonna get that technical about it you shouldn't look at it in the first place!

Yeah, I really like Tartakovsky's cartoon style. Kind of animé/manga-ish. Plus, it doesn't take long at all to do one of the drawings. Usually takes me about a day and a half for one, but Vader took about three weeks!

Usually colored pencil has that "grainy" look

OMG I know!! That's what I don't like about that medium, and without a white pencil in the set, I would have been screwed!!

I'm also gonna eventually do a pencil drawing of Sidious with that horrifically evil look on his face from the end of the trailer where he looks like a friggin' rattlesnake!
