My true love has the greenest eyes. She doesn't know she's my true love yet. If I tell her, she'll probably take that holdout blaster up her sleeve and shoot me with it.

When did I know I loved her?

I started falling for her when I saw her on the Wild Karrde; then even more when those green eyes shone with the barest bit of vulnerability.

When she saved Leia's kids from some thugs, she won our gratitude.

But my heartfelt desire was sealed the day she took a shot "accidentally" at Borsk Fey'lya, or as the Rogues like to call him Borsky.

She told me later she got tired of his mouth, and the "safety" just ahppened to slip.



I thought about giving her my father's lightsaber after an upcoming dance to celebrate the NR and Smuggler's Alliance alliance. I wondered how she would take it?

Mara knew when Corran and Luke went to deal with some Outer-Rim pirates there would be trouble. Corran didn't do the telekinesis thing well at all so when he deflected blaster fire back at the pirates, it misfired and caught Luke in the rump. That nice, nice rump. Mara thought. :blush: She went to visit him in the med ward and tried not to laugh.

"I know if I've heard it once I've heard it a hundred times, when you're with Corran, duck or get out of the way." He groused.

"I would hate to have to save your hide from a hopeless muddle ... again! It was a good thing the Rogues were there also! I enjoy your company, not often, but it happens at times ... so please try not to injure yourself too badly."

Luke grinned.

"It won't even leave a scar." He told her, flushing.

She scowled. "Do I really need to know that?" Can I have a look to make sure? Mara blushed at that involuntary thought.

Three days later, when she stopped by Luke's place before leaving on a trading run, she caught him coming out of the shower with nothing on but a towel. This was a psychological slipup, because he could tell it was her on the other side.

She got a terrific view. A delectable view. It made her want to just ... not want to leave at all.

"You look lovely Mara." He blurted. Her flightsuit hugged her sweetly.

"You don't look so bad yourself." She answered honestly.

"When will you be back?"

"Don't know."

Before either of them could blink, he leaned and gave her a long kiss -- until they saw each other again... and because he'd always wondered what those lips would taste like.

"You'll miss the dance tonight, then. I had something I wanted to give you."

She smiled. "I'll comm you when I get back and you can give it to me at dinner. Prove to me you can scrounge up something besides take-out and ration bars."

Luke grinned. He liked that idea better. A private dinner, candles, -- Alderaanian Ruge.

Woohoo!

Luke and Mara had a great talk over dinner - he presented her with his father's lightsaber. This was the perfect time, she wasn't as prickly about it as she would have been earlier. She knew where her limits and strengths were, and was comfortable with them. She was also touched by the gesture. As for the bottle of wine, they drank it and fed each other chocolate covered frizzberries and then shared kisses as well. They no longer would or could deny their feelings for one another and were glad they didn't have to put up with strange looks from others: translation - "How oblivious can you be?" or "Hmmm. Maybe this one is right for you..." And then they'd have to be bored senseless by someone who couldn't stir anything into a flame.

Luke knew his true love has green eyes and a heart of pure fortitude.

Mara knew her true love has the eyes as blue as the sky and a heart of pure loving gold.
