SWRPF Archive MY version of the prequals

Well I have finally seen ROTS, and I think we can all agree that these 3 movies just don't hold up to the quality of the OT. I remember staring in awe at the screen in 1977 as the Devastator crossed the screen chasing the Tantive IV....I felt little, if any of that awe and wonder during the prequels. Well, this is our chance to change this.

I am going to start with Episode I as it started in the film, but after that, I hope to have the game follow a different path than the films. I would like to be able to roleplay in detail at least SOME clone wars battles, so I intend for this to be a long game.

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace

Turmoil has engulfed the Galactic Republic. The taxation of trade routes to outlaying star systems is in dispute. Several systems have threatened to leave the Republic unless they get some kind of relief from this taxation. Hoping to resolve the matter with a blockade of deadly battleships, the greedy Trade Federation has stopped all shipping to the small planet of Naboo in a show of defiance against this policy.

While the congress of the Republic endlessly debates this alarming chain of events, the Supreme Chancellor has secretly dispatched two Jedi Knights, the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy, to settle the conflict...

Qui Gon and Obi Wan:

Currently you are on a Republic Diplomatic cruiser that has just exited hyperspace in the Naboo system. You are approcing the TF blockade, which consists of serveral TF freighters that have been heavily modified for combat duty.
RDC Captain: Sirs, we have entered the Naboo system. Shall I hail the main ship to request docking?

Master Dooku:

Currently, you are on Courscant at the jedi temple. You recently presented your case for the order to become more involved in trying to fix the corruption in the Senate to the council. It did not go well. Several of the members, while admiring your conviction, held to the old axiom that the order should not be involved in politics. You wish your former padawan were here to help, but he is off on a mission to Naboo. You have decided on a different stratagy, approcing the council members one at a time, to gauge their individual views and perhaps try to sway them to your own point of view.

Currently, you are at your senate apartment. You expect this to be a monumental day, with the diplomats that fool Vallorum sends failing uterlly only to spark the invasion of Naboo. You sense through the force that it will soon be time to send your apprentice on another assignment. You are pleased with him. He performed very well in killing that Nemoinodian traitor who would have endangered everything you had planned. In addition, he was able to teach Black Sun what it means to defy the Sith. Your comm chimes, and you check the display. It is that fool Nute Gunray. You don your sith robe and accept the transmission over a coded channel.

Nute Gunray: Milord, the diplomats have arrived. Do you have any specific instructions before they board?

Currently you are in the Sith retreat on Coruscant, practiching your saber skills, as well as your Teres-Kasi. You sense through the force that you will be called upon by your master for somthing very important very soon.

Currently, you are in your throne room in the castle on Naboo. This should be a very eventful day, as both Senator Palpatine and Chancallor Vallorum have promised that diplomats would arrive today to negotiate for the breakup of the blockade as soon as possible. While signs are just starting to show that the blockade is even in existance, you know that if it goes on much longer, your people will suffer greatly. Hopefully these diplomats will be able to do what they set out to do.

Sio Bibble: Well, my queen, we shall soon see if Senator Palpatine is true to his word, and if these negotiators have any clout at all any more. With all of the corruption rumored to be in the Senate, I am surprised they were able to send anyone.

Captain Panaka gives Bibble a long stare
Panaka: Your majesty, we must be prepared if the diplomats fail. You must consider trying to leave the system. Your people could not bear to use you.
