Okay pianoman (and anyone else interested), here's my shot by shot description...

(But you might want to be patient. This was the first SW trailer that I hadn't read any description of beforehand, which I think is part of what made it so cool. You may just want to wait until it's available elsewhere.)

SHOT 1: A probe droid floating around a platform on Coruscant.
SHOT 2: A city in the middle of a stormy ocean (similar to shot in Breathing trailer)
SHOT 3: Horizon shot w/ Anakin, a Jawa, a swoop bike, and an open Sandcrawler
VO: "It was just before dawn. They came out of nowhere."
SHOT 4: Slave 1 flying and firing through an asteriod field.
SHOT 5: A large explosion. Two Naboo soldiers (?) fall to either side.
SHOT 6: The same explosion still (?) with a N-1 starfighter in the background.
SHOT 7: Padme, Yoda, Mace Windu, and a few others are gathered in a conference room. (VO: Padme: Do you have any idea...)
SHOT 8: Close-up of Padme (...who was behind the attack?)
SHOT 9: Obi-wan and Anakin talking to Padme and Jar Jar (Anakin: We will find out who...)
SHOT 10: Another shot of Padme (...is trying to kill you, Padme...)
SHOT 9: Close up of Anakin and Obi-Wan (...I promise you.)
SHOT 10: A transport lifting off from Coruscant (?) (VO: Mace Windu: Escort the senator back to Naboo...)
SHOT 11: Close-up of MAce (...she'll be safer there)
SHOT 12: Obi-Wan and Anakin before the Jedi Council
SHOT 13: Padme walking out a room, past Anakin (Padme: I do not like this idea of hiding.)
SHOT 14: Same sequence, different angle (Anakin: Sometimes we must...)
SHOT 15: Anakin (...do what is requested of us)
SHOT 16: Another close-up of Padme.
SHOT 17: Someone holding a gun in a bar.
SHOT 18: Obi-Wan attacking this^ person with his lightsaber
SHOT 19: Yoda talking (Dangerous and disturbing...)
SHOT 20: A N-1 approaching another ship (...this puzzle is)
SHOT 21: A shadow goes across Padme's apartment at night.
SHOT 22: Obi-Wan talking to Anakin ("You are using her as bait")
SHOT 23: A probe droid scanning Padme's window.
    SHOT 24: Padme waking up.
SHOT 25: Obi_wan diving out of a window.
SHOT 26: Obi-Wan grabs the probe droid as he falls
SHOT 27: Saber duel between Anakin and a sith... same as in breathing trailer
SHOT 28: Anakin jumps into a speeder (VO: Anakin: I am a Jedi)
SHOT 29: Watto talking to Anakin and Padme ("A jedi! Whatta ya know!)
SHOT 30: A speeder racing through Coruscant. (VO: Obi-Wan: Follow that speeder!)
    SHOT 31: Same sequence, continued.
SHOT 32: Obi and Anakin in speeder, Obi-Wan lookinf back (Obi-Wan: He went that way!)
SHOT 33: The speeder curves around. (VO: Anakin:This is a short-cut!)
SHOT 34: Obi-Wan and Anakin in speeder.
SHOT 35: The speeder goes through some sort of energey shield (VO: Obi-Wan: Anakin...)
SHOT 36: Purple beams shoot at Obi-Wan and Anakin in their speeder (...how many times have I told you to stay away from the power couplings!)
SHOT 37: A large creature emerges from the sea.
SHOT 38: Slave 1 chasing another ship, firing at it.
    SHOT 39: Jango Fett landing
SHOT 40: Slave 1 flying again.
SHOT 41: A ship flys toward some planet (can't tell which)
SHOT 42: Obi-Wan swings his lightsaber in the rain.
    SHOT 43: Close-up of Ani.
Shot 44: Obi-Wan in a force field prison. Obviously from the same sequence from the Breathing trailer.
SHOT 45: Ani running through a crowded alley on Coruscant.
SHOT 46: Jango Fett, flying and shooting
    SHOT 47: Obi-Wan(?) avoiding a small explosion
SHOT 48: Anakin being zapped by Emperor-like Force lightening
SHOT 49: Anakin talks while being strapped to a post by an alien ("I decided to come and rescue you")
SHOT 50: Obi-Wan being held prisoner, responding to Ani ("Good job")

    Real Quick Assesment:

To me the trailer gave glimpses of what was so wrong with TPM and what can be so right about AOTC. When Anakin tells Padme' that "they will find out who" attacked her I felt like I was watching a 19 year old Jake Lloyd which isn't a compliment. The line and the way it was delivered gave me flashbacks to the bad dialogue and deliveries that made TPM, well, TPM. It shook me to feel like that again watching it the first time. But the action, the feel of Star Wars was back as I continued to watch. Watto and Obi-Wan's last line had me laughing my butt off. Also, seeing Slave 1 in action gave me a bit of a chill.

Have they taken off the large version of the trailer? I can't get it to work anymore.

All I have to say is Wow.

Actually I have more to say, what a great friggin trailer, it was cool to see Anakin with some dialogue and in some action scenes, always great to see Padme in whatever outfit, and Obi-Wan IMO from what I saw has made a major character jump from the young padwan he once was was in TPM and is going to be spectacular, Yoda looks better than ever, glad to see great classic SW humor though I never had a problem with TPM humor but it wasnt your typical SW humor really, and of course the action scenes simply rocked.

The one thing that stood out for me though was when Anakin was hit by the Force lighting, that part just gave me chills, Vader truly knew what his son was going through in RotJ.

Anyways, cant wait for the 16th, totally psyched.

I completely agree. When we see Vader looking from Palpatine to Luke, it will be an even bigger moment than it already is.

Anyone else think that the quick confrontation between Boba Fett and Luke will also gain more meaning because of the obvious confrontation between Jango Fett and Anakin?

I just came back from seeing the small version on a mirror, and, as Rick McCallum would say... it was ******* awesome! Some of my thoughts:

    * Who is that guy doing the first voiceover? I'm guessing it's Captain Typho, but my little brother thought it sounded like Owen.

    * Is it me or did Padme's voice sound really different? Not that I'm complaining... her voice sounds sweeter, feistier, sexier than in TPM.

    * I don't get the complaints about Hayden's lines. When I first read them online, they sounded a bit hokey, but his delivery made all the difference.

    * The Slave-I shots were great. Just these two teasers show that Jango Fett is going to end up as the coolest bounty hunter in the saga, not Boba.

    * As everyone has said, that last exchange between Anakin and Obi-Wan at the arena was classic. I also liked the scene where Obi-Wan goes "How many times do I have to tell you to... stay away from power couplings".

    * Anakin and Watto's reunion was also cool to see. "A Jedi? Whaddaya know!"

    * Not only does Yoda look more like his ESB self, but he sounds more like him, too! Frank Oz and ILM look like a match made in heaven, to me.

    * When Obi-Wan jumps out of the window and DOTF starts playing... that was so awesome. That chase scene is going to rock.

I'll post more of my thoughts once I see a larger version of "Mystery".

I think it'll be interesting to look back on Anakin vs. Jango Fett and Luke vs. Boba Fett.

Yoda looks like Yoda again, after being kidnapped for TPM.

All in all, a great trailer.

I think it was awesome, as for all the Fett stuff i am not sure. Boba took it like a chump in ROTJ, he was not intended to be a main character, the only thing that could maybe change is we have a little compassion for him.

    Whheeeew!
Finally saw the trailer (much thanks to Obi-Wan69 and Sithsayer for the assistance this evening).

Absolutely jawdropping. The key element to that trailer that made me feel like I was watching the OT again was the humor incorporated into it. Not to put down TPM because I liked it a lot but none of the trailers, or even the film really, had good humor to it.

Here we are with just a teaser and a short trailer out and already several good lines.

Man o man...May will not come soon enough.

The dialogue was on par, generally, with ESB dialogue, which is the only movie of the finished four that has very good dialogue. The others have their moments, but generally are subpar, I believe.

The humor is one of my favorite aspects of ESB, and it's clear that ATOC has it as well.

"Good job," will resonate all the way to May, I think.

Truly unbelievable.....I can't contain myself, I need someone to share this with.

    Some things I noticed:

Obi-Wan GLARES at Anakin when Anakin promises Padme he'll protect her....interesting.

I think when Obi-Wan turns around with his saber in the nightclub he's about to slice Zam Wessell in half....the person behind him looked just like Zam on the cover of the Insider Mag on SW.com

    Anakin and force lightning? Whoa!!

We see Obi-Wan in the rain but don't get a good look at Jango Fett, at least not if I can remember.

Padme in a nightgown!!?? Whoa!! And it looks like Obi-Wan saves her....that WAS him jumping out of the window. Anakin's clothes don't look like that (the very light brown).

I can't wait for that scene with all of them tied up.

And....the voiceover in the beginning....my money is on Owen Lars or possibly a relative, because they played the voiceover as they showed a shot of a Jawa with Anakin on Tatooine.

Obi-Wan was indeed the one jumping out the window (but not without getting something to hang onto! :)).

That bar scene will give new meaning to the bar scene in ANH.

Darth Mouth: I know how you feel about needing to share. Like they say "Mystery loves company!" ;-)

I am happy that almost all of the spoilers I read (not that I read many) were contained in the trailer. It makes me feel better.

Assasination attempts on Padme. I heard about this 6 months to a year ago, and thought I had ruined the movie for myself.

    WOOHOO! Obviously not a secret.

I've been zealously avoiding spoilers of late. I find it sad how a few idiots on a couple websites desperately seek to get spoilers so they are able post the info first.

I was actually very surprised by Force Lightning. If it is from Palpy, it kind of cheapens it in RoTJ. If you're watching I-VI, you just think "Oh, there's Palpy with his Force Lightning again" rather than the "Damn! The Emperor isn't just the sitting bastard that we think - he can defend himself!"

Also, I liked the fact that the Emperor always sends someone else to do his work, and the one time when he does it himself, he gets killed.

I dunno. I have mixed feelings about that scene.

I feel completely the opposite. I think it strengthens that scene in ROTJ. I would think, "uh oh, there goes Palpatine again, and last time around, Anakin turned to the dark side," if I were watching them in order for the first time. Of course, I don't know if that lightning is from Palpatine, and I don't know if that's when Anakin turns.

Father and son are in that scene in ROTJ, and the two trilogies are linked.

Joey7F how long did it take you to come up with that funny little saying? ;)

Emperor_Dan, I disagree as well. I don't think we can really go through the PT without seeing Palpy unleash his wrath on Anakin. How else would we explain why he is so powerful? And why Anakin couldn't stand up to him? If we watch the whole I-VI and didn't see Palpy use the lightning until the end, how would we have been convinced he was powerful enough to come to rule the galaxy in the first place? When it was just IV-Vi we just assumed that the Emperor was a bad@$$.....now we have to SEE it.

Wow. There are some cool things in that trailer that I didn't even know about!

Where the hell did that force lightning come from??? And those whales???

P.S look really close at the back of that whale...

Well first of all that force lightning could be coming from anyone so will have to wait and see, secondly if it is coming for Palpy I think it strengthens the RotJ scene, its not just a matter of seeing Palpatines wrath its more a matter of Vader remembering over 20 years ago what that wrath was like and seeing his son going through it.

    I don't think it's Palpatine doing it.

There is actually nothing to confirm this (spy report or anything), so it's not a spoiler...but I would guess it is Dooku who is dishing out the force lightning. If that's what it is.
