Naboo jedi original costume..

hey i just wanted to show you the naboo jedi myself and a friend designed for a recent Star Wars event. She wanted to make a jedi costume but something a little different, so we decided to create a naboo jedi

the makeup she wears is similar to what padme wore in the first film, as sort of a tribute to her homeworld, (as is the pendant around her neck, its not hers to own, more a symbol from her homeworld.) her Obi is much wider than normal like a geisha design and her sleeves are shaped like a geisha style too.Eventually she will have tabards that complement the base tunic colour, but be in a ornate material from her homeworld (i didnt have time to finish it lol)

what do you guys think?

Looks good on its own so far, but she looks very cute in it also.

I'll be interested to see it when its finished, as well. I'd suggest sticking a bit light on the makeup though, as in don't go with a total white makeuped face. No mime-faced Jedis! I don't think a Jedi would waste time putting ALL of that on every day

The colors are definitely naboo, and the make up really compliments her natural beauty.

And the battle arena amidala in the second pic is very nice, too !

ah it must be the flash that makes it look like she has white makeup on. She doesnt!! the only bit that was naboo was the cheek dots and geisha lip..but thanks anyhoo!

 

I think that it really looks great!! Keep up the good work and the creative ideas.

 

Wow, what a great idea and a nice design.
I wish I could make out the obi a bit better in the pictures. But making it wide like that was a nice touch.

 

my friend Heidi orginally wanted to do a jedi based on a geisha and i said how the naboo look was influenced alot by geisha designs and thats how the costume evolved.

 

I really like the sleeves; I think they add a nice Naboo flare. The pendant is a nice touch as well. I'm looking forward to seeing the tabards.
