    or

What are your favorite music videos?

ha! thought that would grab your attention! so what are everybodies fave music videos? even if you don't particularly like the tune, what video can you watch with the sound down?

    here are some of mine:

Fatboy Slim : Weapon Of Choice. [image=http://www.astralwerks.com/fbs/woc/wallpaper4.jpg]

Bob Dylan : Subterranean Homesick Blues. [image=http://www.smh.com.au/ffximage/2004/12/17/subterraneanhomesickblues_wideweb__430x345.jpg]

    Leftfield : Afrika Shox. [image=http://www.isc.meiji.ac.jp/~nomad/suzuki/leftfield.jpg]

    Britney Spears : Hit Me Baby One More Time/Toxic. =P~ ;) :p [image=http://www.wanadoo.co.uk/images/editorial/Britney-Toxic.jpg]

    Blur : Parklife. [image=http://www.tournant.com/blur/images/photos/grandes-photos/photo1-99/6.jpg]

The Who : Won't Get Fooled Again. "hey Keith, where are the pictures of this video?"

    [image=http://www.keithmoon.com/km32.jpg] even he doesn't know! :p

and of course, an honorable mention to the video that started them all off, and still one of the best videos (and definately one of the most uplifting and greatest rock songs ever):

    Queen : Bohemian Rhapsody. [image=http://images.art.com/images/-/Queen---Bohemian-Rhapsody--C10114898.jpeg]

come on folks, what's your favorite? give me some suggestions, thoughts, opinions.

DISCLAIMER: i just saw a thread on the jcc with pretty much the same title. in no way was this my inspiration for this thread. ;)

Toni Basil sang it originally. Lolly covered it in '99 with a good old poppy version. Had a great video though.

Matt Bellamy, Dom Howard, Chris Wolstenholme and a bloody big rocket. Fan. Dabby. Dozy!

    Muse - Time's Running Out
All about the Illuminati. What beats a bunch of Generals getting up and boogieing?

Well, to save my poor bandwidth, I'll just say what ones I like.

Fatboy Slim: Weapon of Choice -- Yeah, I love that one. Christopher Walken is PURE CLASS! :D
Michael Jackson: Smooth Criminal / Thriller / Bad / Beat It / Don't Stop 'Till You Get Enough / Billie Jean -- Say what you will about the man, but his early music and his videos are SUPERB!!!
Queen: Bohemiam Rapshody -- Just a great song, and the video is just as surreal - plus, I love the 1991 Waynes World version! :p
Ben Folds Five: Army / Underground -- Hail the great man, hail him! =D=
Eric Prydz: Call On Me -- Hmmmm...Why do you think? =P~

Plus a few others that are just escaping me at the moment.

    Eric Prydz: Call on Me.

Never get bored of this video. A true classic of our generation.

    REM: Losing my Religion

Visually stunning and in my view, the strongest case for viewing music videos as "art".

You just like it for the boobies. The song itself is terrible...

I agree with you on REM though.

that eric prydz video is awesome, and i like dance music (to a point). i have pretty much every dance tune from 1998 on cd single, not that i listen to them much nowadays but when i hear one come on the radio it brings back fond memories of that summer. i am still waiting on most of the videos that have been suggested, so i can't comment yet, although i already have the november rain video, gotta love slash's solo outside the church. makes me wonder how he doesn't burn his hair on his cigarette LOL!

some more of my favorites: motley crue - girls girls girls ;) , green day - when september ends, acdc - thunderstruck, supergrass - pumping on your stereo, beastie boys - sabotage, nirvana - smells like teen spirit. there are more but i will have to have a mooch around to find them.

hal, can't get the lolly version :(

    Thriller, hands down!

Arctic Monkeys - 'I bet you look good on the dancefloor'
(bought this track, its one of those songs that works better with the music video)
Filmed and photographed like the Old Grey Whistle Test, classic.

    Wild Boys - Duran Duran!

cobra: Cradle of Filth - From the Cradle to Enslave  ! omg! no idea what the lyrics were, apart from the chorus, but what a great video! straight out of a clive barker novel or something! awesome. (the others seem to be a tad difficult to find)

the steps one i already have (thanks to my daughter), thriller should be a staple of everybodies video collection anyway.

mustafar, excellent! you have a muse convert over here :D . not just superb vids but the tunes are great too (i maybe have heard the tunes before, just never knew it was them  :p )

welshdude, losing my religion is a great video. totally agree with you.

Rage Against The Machine - Sleep Now In The Fire : LMAO! what a great video! they really did that? (i'm gonna have to take a listen to their other stuff now), although wake up is pretty well known, and killing in the name of is excellent ;) )
Nine Inch Nails - Only, you were right, cool in a wierd way! (haven't really given NIN much time since "head like a hole")

got to agree with the duran videos too. everyone a winner!

surprising no one has mentioned "windowlicker" yet by aphex twin. now that is a brilliant video. just make sure you get the full edit [face_mischief] ;)

    keep 'em coming!
