Calgary Name for Calgary FanForce

We need to start thinking of a name for the Calgary FanForce. Please post any sugestions and then we can decide at our first meeting. (see "When and Where").

Both Calgascant and Calgshyyyk sound good.

 

Calgatooine just does not have the same ring to it as Edmontooine.
But along the same lines Calgaron?

 

How bout Calgrellia? Calgobah? Mon Calgari? Cal Hutta? Calg Mantell? Callust? Calesia?

Its great having the Essential Guide to Planets and moons sitting right beside yout Computer Desk.

Sounds like an old westren town to me.

 

I like a lot of the names. We just have to get together for our first meeting to decide a name. We just have to decide when and where to meet.

At least Calgary is easier to play with than the name Edmonton is.

 

I my favorites so far are Calgaaron (thanks for fixing the spelling) and Cal Hutta. Calgascant and Calesia. I don't even know how to pronounce Calgshyyyk but it sure looks impresive. It probably would be a good idea to discuss the name at the meeting.

I like Mon Calgari and Calgaraan, those are funny.

If you find the play on Star Wars names is too cliche for your group, you could also consider using geographical references or natural resources that match up with similar references in Star Wars. Industries such as fuel refining or cattle raising (nerf herding?) might work too.

Calgary Nerf Herders? Calgary Tabanna Gas Mines?

I liked Mon Calgary or Calgari... it kinda grew on me.

 

For some reason, I get the feeling that if it remains as close to the original by adding an extra a and only changing one letter, then Mon Calagari becomes a well-suited play on words.

 

My favorites are Mon Calagari and Cal Hutta out of all that were posted here.

 

Calgobah....that one makes me giggle....LOL
