That's right folks, this is your once-in-a-lifetime chance to help name a baby girl. Owing to the fact that I was convinced this child was a boy, I am having to start all over with names for a girl and I'm curious to know what names you all can come up with. They can be of Star Wars reference, names that you particularly like, or whatever.

There is a high degree of probability that my husband will be trying to sneak a Lord of the Rings name in there somewhere, so if you want to add one that's cool too.

Make them as funny, crazy, or beautiful as you like and have fun! Who knows, you may be the one to name the next addition to the ranks of Wench-hood.

One note the baby's last name will be Whiting so keep that in mind too.

    Winter Whiting . . . I like that one!

    Winter Raine Whiting
Winter Orne Whiting aka WOW (Orne is a family name for me)
Winter Void Whiting - kind of catchy! [face_laugh]
Winter Kreleia Whiting (out of respect for the queen)

Winter Marnew Whiting - oh, I like that one!

WAIT! The name to top them all!!!!!!!

    WINTER WENCHIE WHITING!!!!

Jada is a good name too! ;)

I've always been partial to Aurora (from Disney's Sleeping Beauty). Course if that's too goody goody, you could go the other way and name her Maleficent. ;)

Or perhaps Buffy or Faith... :p Just to let people know ahead of time that she is going to be in charge. ;)

I've alwasy like Alejandra... the j sounds like -H-... some spelling editing may be neccessary to americanize it.
Natasha has always been a good one also... Quite pretty, and can be shortened easily and not easy to make fun of for shcool purposes.
Aelwen is quite pretty... means fair bow.
Reminds me of Jade - beautiful semi-precious material.
    Bailee... sounds tasty!
Nicole, after my sister.... But again, depends what kinda middle name you're gonna throw in there!
Chi or Chii .... one of my favorites, but it's hard to have a one sylable name without a good middle name to back it up. Besides, it'd be made fun of A LOT!
    Casmir, or Kasmir... Zepplin rules!
Cheyenne to keep on with the "C" name catagory.
Nuria... Means God's fire... like her hair no doubt.

Kali or Kalli... Meaning Dark Goddess.. bring her to the empire proper with a name like that!
    Layla - Clapton Rocks!!
    Katrina, just sounds good.
Gabrielle.. Strength of God.. Sure, it's got lesbian overtones from Xena, but what's wrong with that??
Savanna, Yah... so what if it means open plain... it's a really pretty name!
    Kaitlyn, meaning little darling...
and I guess I'll stop here... I had fun thinking of names that I've heard.. Hope I've been a help.

You're current daughter is a cutiepie, by the way!
I know this one will be just as wonderful!

Lillian (or Lily, I just think that the former has a regal tone to it, and we know she will be worshipped ;) )

Or you could take the alliteration route and go for something like Malinda (or any other derivation) or Madison

I've always found Briana and Meridith to be pretty names as well (with great nickname options).

Winter might be nice, but it leads to thoughts of snow, and w/ your surname that could be a cruel twist once they reach school age (and everyone should think of those things when naming their children... Fortunately my parents did, or my middle name would have been Anne [face_plain] ).

I'lll think about it some more... After all, w/ the sheer volume of character creating I do when writing, I have more name combinations than you can shake a gimer at ;)

OOOH! You guys have some great ideas! Keep 'em coming!

Reaper, I'm truly impressed and I've taken a fancy to one of your names in particular...but I'm not saying which until I've exhausted the possibilities.

    You guys rock!

My hubby is totally ga-ga for some of the LOTR female names. He really likes Arwen and Eowyn. I think I like Eowyn's name better. I'm not sure.

Justin and I have always been into unique names because the two of us have very common ones and we want our children to have strong names they can be proud of.

Makay is actually named after a man and many people find her name unusual, but so far no one has hated it yet so that's a good sign.

I also like IA's suggestion too. I don't know if Justin will go for it though, we'll have to see.

I agree with Jada, just drop all pretenses and name her Wench. Wench Whiting, or Jedi Wench Whiting. ;)

Speaking of Buffy-inspired names I've always liked the name Anya, which I believe means grace or gracious.

Or you know, the world can never have enough Rachels. :p

I wanted to go with Eowyn or Arwen, but the Mrs didn't like it. So we went with Kyla.

    Good luck deciding. :)

I'd recommend Sarai but IF I ever have another child and it happens to be a girl that will be her name.

Let's see, when is she due? My friend's mother named her Libra because that was the month she was born.

That would have made mine November. November Marnew [face_laugh]

Monica, Rachel and Phoebe are all good names. (Friends is my favorite show)

Samantha is good. But for some reason I like the name Sam on a girl. i don't know why.

Angelica is a good evil name. At least it is for me. (Growing up watching Rugrats)

Mia and Fabienne are good. (Pulp Fiction)

Jackie is good too. (Jackie Brown)

That's all I can think of right now.
