I think some still do.
It's not a name of a person but a place that I made up. (And seemingly the real name of places). But if its the name of a person that would be vaguely weird and interesting.
I've met a few people who said they were "Nathan" but they're real name could be Nathaniel, so not sure about that one.
Maybe, but you see few kids who list it as their full name anymore. We have an actor called Nathaniel Parker here but that's the last time I've heard it.
It's like Bartholomew
I think Nathaniel is more common, but no Bartholomew doesn't really have anyone.
Last outside of the Bible I saw the word Bartholomew was because of this song to the Mccoy and Hatfield thing
