FF:VIC Naming the Institute

OK...all our ideas have been submitted and the design is underway.

Now he wants a name for the Institute.

I suggested "The Holocron"

But I'm sure everyone else will have some much better ideas.

 

How about "The FeltcherDome"

 

Something simple, that lets everyone know EXACTLY what it is "The Jedi Academy"

And Luke Skywalker (M.Hamill) could be a jedi instructor. Just like in the Star Wars fiction! I'm sure he'd being running out of cameo appearances, and would like a soild contract.

 

M.Hamill could not instruct u on how to take a dump! It's like asking Christopher Lambert how to swordfight!!
"Jedi Academy" has a certain ring to it. It could sporn a series of movies.
Jedi Master Tackleberry and Mahoney.

 

I don't know, The Holocron has a certain ring to it.....

 

The Holocron sounds good, but would non-star wars fans understand it? (would it matter if they didn't?)
Also, I think Jedi Temple sounds better than Jedi Achademy, or you could always use Luke's word Praxeum (is that actually a real word?)

 

The name has to be commonly understood by all. That is why the "Feltcher Dome" is very appropriate.

 

Temple sounds too religious. It may be a turn off to Star War-ians. I thought academy was practical for a lot of the institutes suggestions were about training in some field or another. And I don't suggest naming it something unrecognisable by outsiders, because you want it to attract a steady flow of income.

Mixo - The film could also have "HighTower" and the guy who makes sound effects.

 

I agree that temple is way to religious and could tread on a few toes. We don't want a religious war here in Oz.A religion must have true followers not heretics.

 

Academy is good.

Temple....not so good.

I'll pass on the ideas.

Jedi Academy is the obvious choice, but to in no way discount the idea of "Holocron" which is great.

I agree with the administration on this issue.

 

Once again it seems the Lute has come out triumphant! Jedi Academy all the way, baby! He shoots, he scores (ironic for someone who hates sports).

 

I actually see it being split 50/50 between Academy and Holocron, but since Shara's a mod what she says goes, so Holocron it is.
