My daughter's birthday is 5-25 - I've informed her that should be special enough...

I am still a major fan of the name Jagged for a boy or Davin! Cherith for a girl for sure. I love all the Fel children's names...except Cem...little too odd for me there...

I mean, come on!...I know i'm odd, but i don't want my kids to go through life whenever they have to wear a nametag, people took at it and snicker...

I would like to name a child a Star Wars name, but something simple, where my children wouldn't be criticized, something like Luke if its a boy or Mara if it's a girl. They are pretty common names and no one would necessarily know that they were from star wars unless you told them

I really like the name Anakin, but I pretty sure that he might be criticized for it. But Luke or Ben could work for boys. With Ben, you could be naming him after two characters at once.

You know I never even thought of it like that, but Ben could could cover two names at once. I tend to assoicate Ben with L/M's child.

Someone really wanting to be creative could name their child Ben Obi (Last Name):) or even better Ben Wan (last name):p

Ben Wan has a ring to it, a wired ring, but a ring none the less

While I don't plan on having children, I do like the names Jagged, Winter, Valin, Corran, Mara Jade, and Tenel Ka. Eryl, Tesar, Zekk, and Iella aren't bad either. I think you could get away with naming someone any of those without raising too much attention.

The only SW names I'd consider would by Kyp, Jag or Luke...
Then again. My kids are going to have weird names.
They're so going to hate me!
    As for girl names?
    Eh.... Maybe Callie.

Well I haven't ever really wanted to have children. once in a while i get a feeling that maybe sometime down the road when my career is stable then POSSIBLY. but if i ever did have kids i know i'd name them after star wars characters. i'd never name them after someone from the movies, thats too obvious. i'd choose EU names.

    Boys
    Valin
    Wes
    Gavin
    Jag

    Girls
    Vale
    Wyn
    Tahiri
    Bria

in my family theres a history of twins and apparently im next in line for them if i choose to have children. if i did, i'd want a girl and a boy so i could name them Valin and Vale. I love those two names.

All of these names are great, but beware of naming your children with tragic characters.
    ie Bria, Alema, Cherith, etc.
Or share their fate, they might [face_devil]

And name them after a Skywalker and they might just have a tragic lovelife whereby wanting to murder said future partner is almost a marriage proposal.
    YIKES!

I have no intention of having kids. [face_plain]

    But if I do:

    Girls:
    Wynssa
    Myri
    Allana
    Jysella

    Boys:
    Wes
    Chak
    Valin
    Kyp

EDIT: Mmkay, I was kinda iffy about adding this before, but now I'll go ahead:

If I have a girl, her middle name is going to be Shawnkyr.
If I have a boy, his middle name is going to be Thrawn. If I have another; Thrass.

I figure having one of those as a middle name as opposed to a first name will a): save the kid from some weird looks, and b): will be more of a 'core name'. :p

I wanted to have a "core" name like Thrawn
But then when the kid started asking questions
I'd have to tell them I had a slight crush on a book character.
    Which would be embarassing!
    Ha ha

I'd just tell him (Thrawn) he was named after the greatest tactian who ever lived. [face_mischief] No way would I be mentioning the reason I like that name so much... [face_whistling] [face_shhh]

[face_idea] How about this for a thread: "Trying to convince your signifigant other to legally change his/her name to that of a Star Wars character"? :p

Ha ha- I like that as a thread!
I'd laugh if as a joke they changed it to Jabba! Oh the hilarity you could get out of that!
Talking of names. This woman I knew named her cat Yoda.
It was nasty. It used to sit on things and wee.
I think a slight difference to our esteemed, small green Jedi Master...
    (Or maybe not...)

My boyf won't let me use the name Hermione for a girl, and its not even after the HP one...

Somehow I think he'd put his foot down at Thrass/Thrawn. And hes a SW fan as well.

Luke is a nice name for a boy though.
