    Okay, here goes nothing...

This story is being writen by one of my friends, a big C.S. Lewis fan and beta by me, a SW fan!

    Disclaimer:

I don't own any of this, Mr. Lewis and Lucas do. [face_plain]

But, they are nice enough to let us play in thier universes.

I don't plan to publish any of it or make money.

    Please don't sue us...

    Gen. Oochy and Gen. Peter!

A servant came running into the great throne room of Cair Paravel, that castle on the eastern seacoast of Narnia.
"Why, what is it Derimon?" the King Edmund asked him.

"A very strange sight, sir! A thing like a dragon that went roaring and breathing fire behind it across the sky, has just landed outside the castle walls--and has disgorged people!"

"WHAT?!?!" said all four of their Majesties at once.

"It is as I have said!" said Derimon, "come and see for yourselves, if you don't believe me"

As they were walking towards the front gate of the castle, Peter whispered to Edmund:
"You know, Ed, if it wasn't for the fact that we're in Narnia, I'd think that Derimon was describing an aeroplane."

"But it couldn't be an aeroplane--not in Narnia--could it?"

"I don't know, Ed, I can't think of anything else that would fit his description"

"Well, you know, I have heard of strange things beyond the Western Mountains; perhaps it is one of these?"

    "We shall see!"

They finally reached the stairs next to the gate, leading up to the battlements, climbed them, and looked out.
    "By the Lion!" said Peter.
    "What on earth?" said Susan.
"What is it?" asked Lucy. Edmund just gaped.

What they saw is hard to describe unless you have seen it for yourself. It looked something like an airplane--It had wings, and a cockpit, and engines--but it was like no plane that any of the four Kings and Queens had seen, even though they had originally come from our world. In fact, it was unlike any plane that you have seen, even though you live many years after those four lucky children. The best way to describe it would be to say that it was shaped something like an arrowhead with a bulge down the middle--if you are acquainted with aeronautical terms, I would say that it had delta wings that stretched all the way down the fuselage at a sharp angle, with a dome-shaped bubble canopy covering the cockpit, which was placed towards the stern of the craft. It had no tail.

Their Royal Majesties were at first so engrossed with the craft that they did not perceive the people which had just stepped out of it. Now they turned their attention to these, and they, too, were a strange enough sight to those accustomed to the Narnia style of dress.

They were wearing long, light brown tunics, strangely folded, held in place by a belt, with long, flowing, dark brown robes over this.

The taller of the two figures was a man with light hair, apparently about 17 years of age. Even though he was young, however, he already had an air of wisdom about him. The shorter was a girl, with short-cut hair, who looked a few years younger than the man.

Perhaps, however, the thing that puzzled the Narnians most were the small black cylinders that both carried, holding them in a "guard" position as if they were swords.

"What think you, Edmund?" said Peter, "Shall we go down and meet them?"

"I see no reason not to, Peter."

"Forward then. By the way," he said, talking to a guard in the castle livery who stood near him, "It would be best to keep an arrow at the ready, in case these people--if that is what they are--have hostile intentions. I would not think so, seeing that they are only two, against a whole army, but all the same, I don't necessarily think it would be a one-sided fight. That girl certainly has a determined look in her face!"

    "As you wish, your Majesty."

The four Pevensie rulers marched down the stairway and through the now-opened gate, with Peter and Edmund in the front, and Susan and Lucy in the rear. The two strangers waited for them to approach, and then, when they got nearer, saluted them. Peter and Edmund returned the courtesy by withdrawing their swords from their sheaths for a moment.

This action, however, appeared to startle the girl, for she stepped back a pace and did something--none of the monarchs could tell what it was--with her cylinder.

Instantly, a bright column of purple light shot out of the end of the cylinder. Edmund jumped visibly, and took in his breath sharply. Susan turned white. Lucy gave a

    We got it done early!

    Here's chapter 2!

    =======================================================================

Once back inside the castle, preparations for the meal began. It was not, perhaps, the best, nor the largest meal that was ever served in the Great Hall of Cair Paravel, but even so, it was surprising how fast it was made ready, considering the size and quality of the dishes.

And now it was the strangers turn to be surprised, for, no matter where you are from, a feast at Cair Paravel in the Golden Age of Narnia is a sight to behold. There were four courses, each better than the last, and each was announced by trumpets from the balcony above.

After the heavy eating was over, Lucy, who was the best storyteller of the four, began their story. Most present had heard it before, and it makes an interesting story, but I will not go into detail here. Suffice it to say, the four monarchs had originally come from London, England, but by a strange turn of events they found themselves in Narnia. With the help of the lion Aslan they killed the White Witch, the horror of whose reign was not forgotten even yet. And then, in fulfillment of a prophecy, they were made Kings and Queens. At the time, Peter, who was the oldest, was 12, and Lucy, who was the youngest, was only 8.

"And that is the pith of our story," concluded Lucy. "It has now been fifteen years since we were crowned, and Narnia has been prospering since then. But come, it is time for you to tell us your story."

    And so Obi-Wan began:

"Siri and I had been sent on a mission to the Marik system-"

"What sort of mission?" asked Edmund.

    "Umm...I don't think I should say."

"So it was a secret mission?"

    "Yes."

    "I see. Please, go on."

"Well, as I was saying, we were on this mission in the Delta 6-"

    "The Delta 6?" asked Peter.

"Yes, that's our starship-the thing we arrived in."

    "I see."

"We were on this mission in our starship, the Star Treader--"

"Star Treader," murmurmed Lucy, "What a pretty name!"

"Thank you," said Obi-Wan."Now where was I? Ah, yes. At first all went well. We were nearing our destination when we spotted a Droid Starfighter a ways off."

    "Droid Starfighter?" asked two voices.

"It's another kind of starship-hostile to our side."

    "Your side?" asked Peter.

    "It's a long story."

    "Go on, then."

"Well, we spotted a Driod Starfighter, but, weren't sure if it had seen us. We decided to be safe and move out of the area. Unfortunately, it must have seen us, because it changed course and came after us. We put on full speed to try to escape, but droid fighters are exceptionally fast and it steadily gained on us. When it got close enough, it started firing it's blasters at us--"

    "Blasters?"

"They're a kind of weapon--something like a conventional gun, except it shoots bursts of energy instead of bullets. Anyway, it started firing it's weppons at us. Luckily for us, the first shots missed. Then some very strange things started happening. First, we sped up dramatically and the turbulence increased sharply. Like we were jumping in to hyperspace, but much bumpier. But, back to the story. Then everything around us started moving faster and faster and faster until finally it was just a blur of motion. Like if we were in hyperspace, but, we didn't have our hyperdrive ring on us, so there is no way for us to have been in hyperspace. Then the turbulence increased even more, and we must have been knocked unconscious because the next thing we knew we were in a very strange looking place--not meaning to be rude of course--it seemed strange to us because we aren't used to it, I suppose. We were still in space, I think, but it was certainly a different space than the one we know. Each star--if they were stars--looked like bright, glowing people. They looked at us strangely but made no attempt to attack us. Below us we saw the ground, a very long way down of course--not a round planet, but just a long, flat expanse that went on into the distance. We decided to land our craft on this. As we got closer to

She's not exactly my namesake since I took my name from her rather than the other way around, but I couldn't think of another way to say it. I was referring to Empress Jadis, aka the White Witch. :D

Her Imperial Majesty Jadis, Queen of Narnia, Chatelain of Cair Paravel, Empress of the Lone Islands, etc.

She was the inspiration for the first part of my username. :D :D

    Chapter 3!!!!

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Peter walked out of his bedroom the next morning to find Obi-Wan, who had
    evidently also just gotten up.

"Good morning, Obi-Wan. You're up early, I thought I was the first one up!
    I hope you slept well?"

    "Very well, thank you."

"Good, good. Let's go down to the dining room-it's where we always eat,
when we don't want to have a big feast. Breakfast should be ready soon, and
afterwards I'd like to talk to you about a few things that I don't quite
    get-but breakfast first.

    "As you wish, your Majesty."
"Please," said the King, "Just call me Peter."
    Obi-Wan grinned. "Ok, Peter."

In the dining room they were joined by Lucy and Siri, who had just awoken.
    "Good morning!"
    "Good morning."
    "Good morning."
    "Good morning."

    "Let's have breakfast," said Peter.

"Where's Susan?" Peter asked Lucy a few minutes later.
"She's in the throneroom already," said Lucy.
    "What about breakfast?"
"I think she had it in her room."
"That's Susan for you," mused Peter, "It's a good thing that one of us
    thinks of these matters!"

After breakfast was over and everyone had pushed their chairs back, Edmund
    came in, looking sleepy.
"Good morning, Ed," Peter greeted him, "You're just in time for breakfast."
"Good morning," said Edmund, sitting down at the table.

"Now," said Peter, turning to Obi-Wan, "I mentioned last night that I had
    some questions for you."
    "Ask away."
"Well, the first thing I'd like to ask you about is this: what is the thing
    you keep calling 'the Force'?"
    "I don't think I should tell you that...yet. It's a sort of secret."
"You two certainly have plenty of secrets!" said Peter good naturedly.
"Well then, on to my next question. What are those black cylinders you have?"
"You mean these?" said Obi-Wan, pulling out his.
    "Yes."
    "These are lightsabers."
    "What are lightsabers?" asked Lucy.
"You've never heard of a lightsaber?" asked Siri disbelievingly.
    "No," said Lucy.
Siri gave her a strange look. Lucy thought it was a
"who-gave-you-your-education?" look, but Siri was actually thinking, "What
planet where you brought up on?"
"Well..." said Obi-Wan, interrupting, "they're a kind of plasma beam."

    Three faces looked blank.

"How can I explain?" muttered Obi-Wan to himself.
"Has any of you ever heard of a laser?" asked Siri.
"No," said three voices in unison.
"Maybe I should just show you," said Obi-Wan, "I'll go ahead and turn it
on-but make sure you don't touch it!"
"There's no fear of that!" said Edmund, who had just finished his breakfast.
"I should think not!" Lucy whispered to him.
"How do you turn it on?" asked Peter.
"Like this," said Obi-Wan, pushing a small button on the cylinder.

A beam of blue light shot out the end of the cylinder. At the same time, a
faint humming sound started coming from it--at least, that was what it
    seemed like.

There was a small bang as Lucy put down her cup abruptly.

    "I see," said Peter.
"Now", said Obi-Wan, pointing to the beam of light coming out the end,
"This is something like a very concentrated beam of light. It's used like
the things you call 'swords'-it can cut through practically anything,
except another lightsaber. It is a special weapon, and not many people are
taught to use it. I and Siri," he said, looking modest, "are privileged
enough to be some of those few."
"I think I understand," said Peter. "By the way, have you ever used a sword
    before?" he added.
    "No," said Obi-Wan.
"Well, then, maybe we should go down to the fencing room. I can show you
how to use a sword, if you like, and, if you would, I'd like to learn how
    to use a lightsaber."
    "So would I," said Edmund.
Obi-Wan looked hesitantly at Siri, then at the Kings, and then beyond them,
as if he were thinking. Finally he said, "Ok. I'll teach you --if Siri will
lend you her saber. Will you?"
    "Sure," said Siri.
"And after that you and King Edmund can take them, and you can show him."
    "Let's go then," said Peter.

    The four of them walked
