Natalie Portman in EpII

Name another actress who could scream more convincingly than Natalie when the Nexu slashes her back. Just thinking about it makes me feel . . . funny

But Padme's most convincing scene for me was when she was talking about the infamous "Palo". She seemed to really relate to her character at that point.

 

Up! This is a really good thread. Natalie is someone who is naturally beautiful and is a very talented actress. I just watched The Proffessional. I was surprised at how good she did in the part considering it was her first time on the big screen. There was a really good interview on IMBD.com with Natalie that was on the main page. I'll find the link, but anyways one of the best interviews I've read.

I've seen her in a TV movie where she starred as the daughter of Robin Hood and the resemblence is uncanny. She also looks a little like Winona Ryder!

Hopefully, we'll get a little more from Natalie than "I truly, deeply love you" in Episode III. I wonder how she prepared for that scene.

 

Man, I feel sorry for Natalie. She has to be one of the most critized actresses on the internet. Shw's not just critized about her acting ability , but about EVERYTHING about her. Sadly, some of the most vicous insults against her come from sites devoted to her. There is one messageboard in particular, the Natalie Portman America's Queen board(look it up on Yahoo), that is full of people who take every opportunity to belittle her and call her names. Its not fair to her, and it needs to stop.

It's a damn good think she is beautiful!

 

I thought she did very well and she is an exceptional actress. I hope she doesn't believe the junk that is written about her. All I can say is one of the most influential director/producer/writer, who has made stars out of alot of unknowns choose her to play an obviously pivotal role in one of the most important and personal projects he has ever done. Something tells me he knew what he was doing, he picked these people for a reason. When he was looking for his Anakin, he saw 400 guys and took over 3 months to choose, he did his research on every person he choose. He made the right decision on all counts. She deserves credit where credit is due.

Her wardrobe was quite nice. It's a shame that Genosis wasn't an ice planet like Hoth.

This is a cool thread.Just on Nat.I think she played a greater role as Padme in AOTC then TPM.Don't get me wrong she did some good acting in TPM its just she got more of action well with the Romance between Padme & Anakin and then when she fell into that shell/bottom piece of the droid.
Natalie Portman is truely my role model.
