    LOS ANGELES, Jan. 16 (Xinhuanet) -- Clive Owen and Natalie Portman won the 62nd annual Golden Globe awards for best supporting actor and actress in movie, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association saidSunday.

    Owen and Portman were nominated for their performance in movie "Closer". The honors are considered bellwethers for the Oscar Awards, which will be presented in February.

    William Shatner and Anjelica Huston won the awards for best supporting actor and actress in TV series.

    The Hollywood Foreign Press Association is known for its GoldenGlobe Awards at the end of January every year. In order to vote on the awards, members see more than 250 US films released each year along with foreign language films, motion pictures made for television, and prime time television series.
