National Flags of Star Wars

What, if any, national flags are shown or implied during the films? I found a couple:

1. During the Naboo celebrations during Return of the Jedi a red flag can be seen being flown from a tower. This can either be implied to be, the national flag, a communist revolution, or a ?signalling Red Flag? as used by military forces.

2. During the Coruscant Uprising during Return of the Jedi red and blue confetti/streamers can be seen. Typically these colours, along with white, are those of liberty and freedom. Thus can it be speculated that the Republic flag utilises these colours?

Furthermore, do you believe that each ?sovereignty? in the films (and EU) have their own national flag, and if so is there any explanation as to why they aren?t commonly shown? Also, give examples of what you would believe each nation?s flag would be?

 

I could scan the podrace scene, but instead I'll squash any speculation on significance behind any symbolism of flags in SW by saying you can't read too much into these movies. Especially afterthought-type scenes like the ones in the SE of ROTJ.... Please, tell me why I'm wrong.

Anyway, i'm sure most planets have flags, and likely some planets have multiple nations. But In the OT, the only planet shown that has what feels like anything close to a government is Bespin, and it feels more like a crime infested casino/resort to me. It still is the closest to having a flag. Tatooine feels so ruled by crime and 'far from the center of the universe' that there can't be much of a coherent government. And all the other planets are empty of possible flag wavers,hence why the rebels/shield generators are hid there.

In the prequels, i would think most of the planets shown have flags. Still, the arena of the films is a galactic one, so they don't matter much. What matters is if they pledge allegiance to the republic or Separatists.

Really, just scan wookieepedia, you'll find fleshed out governments for almost every planet, and how they relate to galactic government. It is an interesting concept, and really, if the separatists weren't big liars, their perceived cause would be something i might get behind.
