I've thought the Celtics made some poor personnel decisions in the last few years, but I am extremely happy with this offseason. There is actual depth and an actual center for the first time in a long while. It's also hard to not be excited about Jared Sullinger as Fab Melo. The Celtics finally drafted talented instead of roleplayers.
i like the celtics, but i'm not very excited about jared sullinger or fab melo. they had a pretty terrible offseason imo.
It was media day for the Lakers today, which lead to many niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice photos that popped up in my Twitter/Facebook news feeds, with this photo being my favorite: Only 29 days until the season starts!
And this year offers me nothing in the NBA. The Cavs will likely be too good to have a decent chance at winning the lottery, but not good enough to make the playoffs.
The Cavs might be able to squeeze into that 8th spot. Here's how I see the East shaping up: 1) Heat 2) Bulls 3) Nets 4) Celtics 5) Pacers 6) 76ers 7) Knicks 8) Cavs/Bucks/Hawks
I literally haven't been around during the entire period of time in which the Sixers went from being the Washington Generals to being an EC contender. I'm just glad I can actually show my face around here now that I have a team that isn't shameful. I just hope Bynum doesn't evaporate under the pressure of being "the Man" on a team. If he steps up to be the center of attention and can carry this team, we are in beautiful shape for this season.

...and the Heat. EDIT: Oh wait that would require them to actually call it against the Heat. Nevermind.
I had seen European Basketball getting better these years. I wonder when would we see the NBA champion facing a Euro team for for world championship after the NBA.
