Quite the forgettable night for the Lakers, not so much for Washington: outscored the purple & gold 31-17 in the 3rd quarter that jump started their comeback, John Wall played out of his mind (24 points, 16 assists), and former Laker Trevor Ariza was spectacular (25 points, hit 7 3-pointers). Ahhhh, the memories of Ariza:

So, Marc Gasol is out indefinitely, after re-aggravating his abdominal injury. That is a serious blow to the Grizzlies. I highly doubt they'll be able to get to the 4-seed, and first-round home field advantage, without him.

 

The Cavs are 3-3 in games this season when they have at least a 20-point lead. The rest of the league is 332-11

 

ESPN is reporting that Wade's out against the Bobcats.

Though the final score on Monday night was 109-103 in favor of Golden State, the game really wasn't that close, as the Lakers were down around 15-20 points for so much of the game... the Warriors were getting basically any shot they wanted, as the Lakers defense was as effective in this game as having a lit match to keep warm in a cold swimming pool. Nervous time!

I'm probably a bit more excited about this than I should be (I did jump up & down after the final buzzer sounded), but **** it. That 33 game streak is one of the proudest moments in one of the greatest seasons the Lakers have ever had, and though Miami did give it a great try (the most serious scare in my life/since 1972), it's rewarding beyond belief to see their streak end.

 

And every Laker, Chicago, and Cleveland fan celebrate.
