That game on Super Bowl Sunday? Damn it!

 

Kobe at MSG will be better than the SB Pregame show. No doubt about it.

 

Only one Knicks game is on ABC this season and it's against the Cavs. That's how bad the Knicks are presumed to be

I won't be able to watch the above game since I don't have cable and I don't live in NYC. I'm oddly thankful that the Christmas Day game against the Wizards is in NYC and not where I currently reside in DC because my family would have been extremely hard to deal with if I had even mentioned wanting tickets.

 

Well (assuming Kobe doesn't get injured again), sure, but my worry is about missing large chunks of the game: me, my brother & mutual friends of ours always go to a particular friend's house for the Super Bowl, been doing so since Super Bowl XXXVIII. Anyway, it's always an adventure for people to get picked up, for food & drink to be bought (because, despite my suggestions to buy the food & drink the day before, we always end up buying that stuff about 1-hour before the game), etc. Thus, I may have to leave my house before the game is over, and that possibility doesn't settle well with me.

 

Ah yes. Forgot about injuries. It's the offseason!

I have actually listened to a lot of games in my car while travelling it's not so bad, but totally not the same.

eh, not exactly building a super team. adding former all-stars on the downslope of their careers is exactly the sort of move that they made so often towards the end of lebron's first stint in cleveland.

2008-10 Cavaliers were grabbing those declining players to start and be key pieces. These adds are for depth and rotation/role players.

 

oh, i know. i just didn't think adding shawn marion was worth a "good grief" reaction.

 

I said good grief because this was our 5th new addition + to the team? This is getting a bit out of hand imo.

 

ah i see, that makes more sense. but when you're coming off a 33 win season i don't really see why you wouldn't make a lot of changes. the moves have been sound.

 

Changes are good, yes, but this is starting to getting a bit too ridiculous imo. How the heck can our salary even stand this anyway?

 

marion is signing a minimum deal. people will play for cheap if they get to play with lebron.

Well, given all the consternation I've gone through post-veto (Chris Paul) concerning the Clippers and all the future consternation that'll be had during the Ballmer-era (if, if, IF he doesn't screw things up royally/the team actually accomplishes really, tangible accomplishments in the playoffs -ie: a trip to the Conference Finals, a Finals appearance, and heaven forbid, a title-), at the very least he'll fill the L.A.-sports landscape (and the broader NBA-culture as well, obviously) with some genuine, exciting & classic material to fill the blogs, radio shows, etc...

 

If he didn't jump over a chair, it's not worth watching.

 

I'm sure he'll do that before the season begins... if not, then definitely on Halloween-night (though that game is a Lakers-home court situation).

 

A Chorus of Disapproval ... looks like you will not, in fact, be getting Anthony Bennett as a part of the Kevin Love trade.
