the lakers have beaten better teams than the cavs, and the cavs have lost to worse teams than the lakers. it's far from a lock.

warriors are 30-5. i can hardly believe it.

The Cavs couldn't beat Philadelphia. Philadelphia. At this point, they'd probably lose to the Washington Generals.

Like in so many of their previous games during this wretched season, the Lakers had their moments tonight... brief leads, kept the game close (save for the opening couple of minutes) throughout, but of course ended up losing. Sure, Kobe had a career-high 17 assists, and Jordan Hill shot well, but that was the near extent of the Lakers excitement tonight. Good game for LeBron to bounce back in (though at one point in the 2nd quarter, he missed 4 consecutive free-throws... my brother's mini-meltdown over that was entertaining :p) ; was surprised Love stayed in the game during the 2nd half, given his back issues.

LeBron & Kobe were a little too chummy in their chatting during the game, but that wasn't really surprising, sadly. I also don't know why Byron Scott thought having Ryan Kelly guard LeBron and waiting too long (past the halfway point) in the 4th quarter to bring Kobe back in the game were good ideas.

They should have sat 'em courtside.

And it was nice to see Nicholson come out of hibernation tonight to make an appearance. :p

Especially since it was Wil Trapp's birthday and all. Courtside or bust.

Holy crap! Two in a row.

If they win again in their next one, it's called a winning streak. It has happened before.

    Did ...

    Did ...

Did they just play offense and defense in the same game?

Jeepers the Atlanta Hawks look fine tuned. My roommate is a die hard Hawks fan, and is loving it.

Just playing really great team basketball.

Look like a young Popovich coached team.

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/12217628/kobe-bryant-los-angeles-lakers-season-torn-rotator-cuff]Kobe[/url] to miss the rest of the season with that rotator cuff injury

Given the top-ten pick they're very likely to get, and Randle's development in '15-'16, the few games (before he tears his Achilles again, or breaks a leg) he'll play next season will be Kobe's last... I just hope that the team is at least good enough to play .500 basketball.

    *looks at the schedule*

38-games left to go in this season...

yea, seems like kobe's body just can't handle it anymore. kind of sad when it comes down to injuries to take someone out, rather than a depletion of skill/ability to compete.
