Only saw the end of the 4th Quarter. Working. But great to have the season start again.

Warriors look like they could use a few more warmup games.

Damian Lillard is looking like a legit MVP candidate. 39 points!

I'm quite excited (especially with Luuuuuuuke Walton at the helm) to see how this young core develops, since it's completely their team now.

Uncle Drew getting his ring... The only player I stopped to take a picture of specifically in that moment. He's the juxtaposition of post LeBron hope and returned LeBron triumph.

Well, the Dubs didn't get off to a good start. On the other hand, the Spurs looked great as they played tremendous defense and lit it up offensively.

I guess the Warriors wanted to get their first home loss out of the way early this year. :p

I know we still have 81 more games to go, but...

I guess I can say we'll be just fine post-Duncan.

That makes three consecutive home losses for them

I was reading that earlier. The headline is typical Embiid gold. On my way to the Center in a few for my first dose of ticket holding this season. I fully expect Westbrook to be in post-KD revenge mode and go off for 40-50 every game, starting tonight on us, but tonight is still the beginning of a much better era in modern Philly basketball. When Simmons comes back, that will be like a second opening night.

From ESPN: Anthony Davis update: 48 points (16/30 FG; 16/17 FT), 15 rebounds, 5 assists, 6 steals, 4 blocks in 38 minutes. Pels down 100-98 with 2:32 to play.

Why, oh, why couldn't he stay healthy for full seasons at a time... he's unbelievably good...

Aside from defensive issues, bad Nick Young (why the hell was he starting?) shots, and a few courtside regulars who weren't at the game, that was really fun to watch (especially's Clarkson's 2nd half). Love the attitude of this Lakers team.

i am so glad the nba is back, i don't even care that the warriors lost by 30 points. though i hope they don't do that on tuesday when i see them in person!

the lakers/rockets game was actually incredibly entertaining. but we'll have to wait and see how the lakers do against a team that at least tries to play defense. seeing a lot of mvp predictions for harden, westbrook, and lillard, but i think the thing people are forgetting is that the voters almost always go for a player that's on one of the two best teams in their conference. with that in mind my personal top 2 picks are lebron and kawhi.

It's true, an MVP usually comes from a top team. Heck, Lillard doesn't even make the All-star team most years. LeBraun, any player from Golden State all have a good chance.

be kind of hard to pick an MVP on golden state this year, too many riches for any of them to really be the MVP unless someone does like steph last year. my money's on kawhi

Harden? His stats are going to be insane under D'Antoni. I mean, if he puts up something close to 30 ppg and 10 apg, they win 55 games, get back into the playoffs and get out of the first round, he'll win for sure. Even if they get bounced in the first round, it's gonna be hard to deny with those stats, regardless of how inflated they are. Fifty wins and those stats might be enough.

But, it will probably be LeBron, if the Cavs do well again, which they almost certainly will. He has the good will from last year's championship on his side.
