Ironic that all the network analysts were complaining that Zach LaVine wasn't going to be in the Dunk Contest this year, and he tears his ACL last night. They wouldn't have gotten their rematch with LaVine and Aaron Gordon had LaVine accepted the invitation. Which sucks both ways, because last year's Dunk Contest was amazing to watch.

And with last night's win, Pop has broken Jerry Sloan's recprd for most wins for a single franchise.

Paul Pierce played his last game in Boston yesterday and went out with a 3 at the end of the game. What an incredible moment...and the reaction of the crowd gets me all sorts of emotional. Nothing but respect for the guy.

So, trade deadline not far away.

Anyone been fooling with the trade machine?

I tried Melo and the only team that seemed remotely plausible was Boston.

Hell of a game. Kevin Love all night and Uncle Drew with the dagger.

But, yeah, we need to trade Love for Melo. Kill those rumors, please.

Yea...I remember seeing Oakley play live. My dad used to take me to games. Just when you think the Knicks finally may have hit rock bottom. The franchise is such an embarrassment. Will be interesting to hear more about this. Would rather the Knicks get themselves together. With Dolan owning the team, I have lost all hope.

Rumor is that Oakley tried to fight Dolan, which would make him the most popular Knick of all time if he landed a punch.

Dolan has banned Oakley for life from the Garden, per Michael Kay.

Knicks fans are going to be ruthless tonight, I imagine.

Trump should buy the Knicks and make them great again.

I guess he would build a wall to prevent Oakley getting into MSG.

'Twas the Lakers last ever game at The Palace of Auburn Hills this past Wednesday, which was notable (maybe) in that in all their Finals games played there in '89 & '04, they lost them all. :p Of course among those...

Game 5 of the '04 Finals... Shaq's last ever in a Laker uni, among other things.

Rangers fans, apparently, don't like the ban, and chanted Oak-ley Oak-ley during the game last night. Yes, the hockey game. Alas, he did not show.

Oakley's like the most beloved Knick of that era's teams. Moreso than Ewing, I'd think. This is... not good. :p

I'm not sure there's anywhere left to go before they become truly great as it is, in the Trumpian sense.

Does that ban apply to concerts held at the Garden as well?
The Spurs had their final game at the Palace last night as well, unless, by some sort of miracle from the Basketball Gods themselves, we get a repeat of the 05 Finals this year. This is part of the annual Rodeo Road Trip.

Speaking of which, I made a promise to some friends that I'd get a Spurs logo tattoo if they won the title that year. If I can get me a selfie stick, I could show you.

My favorite moment in the Spurs Finals history actually happened at the Palace, because I certainly wouldn't be celebrating on Commerce Street with my fellow Spurs fans that year if not for this (the series was tied at 2 at tipoff, and it was decided in Game 7).

Nanaki - for the time being, I'd imagine it will be a high priority for the Garden's yet-to-be-hired new head of security to keep Mr. Oakley out. Any subsequent incident that gives this story legs is very bad for Mr. Dolan and the MSG brand.

I never thought I'd see an organization take the title of most dysfunctional organization from the Cleveland Browns.

How many GMs and head coaches have the Knicks organization had since their last Finals appearance again? And how long has Dolan owned this franchise? I'd say you can't blame Isiah Thomas for the franchise's dysfunction anymore.

The results of yesterday's game aside, there's a very good reason the Spurs have only had 1 head coach and 2 GMs (one of whom was that same head coach) in 20 years.
