I believe his father is, as he was the one promoting their "Big Baller" brand.

If Ball is the Lakers' top choice, I don't think LaVar is much of a factor. I mean, we seen teams sign players with far worse baggage over the years. Ball doesn't appear to be a bad character guy nor have issues off the court.

On a different note, I was listening to local sports talk radio and the host thinks that Melo will force Philip Jackson/Knicks to buy out his contract and paving the way for him to sign with the Cavs.

Thankfully there's a rookie scale or else I'm sure his dad would be trying to negotiate they take over ownership from the Buss family or something like that.

Yeah, to pick up the $24 million. I'm not sure how much Wade has left in the tank at 35 years old.

I think I'll be done with the Knicks if they trade Porzingis.

Portland doesn't seem like it has much to offer. It doesn't have "a number of draft picks and talented players to use as trade fodder". They have three 1st round draft picks this year, but at 15, 20 and 26. That's not high enough, the elite players are gone by then. They don't have any extra 1st round picks in the future. Who are the talented players they will trade? Lillard and McCollum will not be available, that would be a sideways trade. Aminu and Harkless? They're on good contracts, but come on, no one is excited to trade for them. No one is real excited to get Allen Crabbe at $18.5 million either, which is about the same price as George.

I'd say the most likely destination for George is the Lakers, given he's literally said he wants to sign for the Lakers.

As for Butler, I like the idea of Celtics #3, take Jackson, and another pick next year, plus whatever filler. The Bulls can suck this year (if Wade opts in that will help) and then have two decent picks in next year's draft to go along with Jackson. Wiggins plus #7 is also intriguing although I worry about Wiggins' lack of progression this last season, and I'm not sure whether the Wolves are ready to give up on him anyway.

I can't see any way that Butler ends up on the Cavs. Don't see why any other team would take on Love to help them out.

Celtics please. they can sign Haywood to add to Butler, and would have a pretty nice team to rival the Cavs, plus with future picks yet to come. they wouldn't be good enough to beat the Warriors but at least they stay competitive before adding further picks or trades later on.

i haven't seen anything about george to the blazers. even if they could put together a package the pacers would accept, would they sell the farm for a one year rental? i do think he'd be a great fit there though, too bad he seems so set on the lakers.

I do hope that the Lakers get Ball and that his dad becomes a problem for the team for years and years.

Wow, what a weak trade for Brooklyn, and basically a minor steal for LA.

Dwight Howard and a first round pick to the Hornets for Marco Belinelli, Miles Plumlee and a second round pick . We'll see you next year at this time again for who's Dwight Howard playing for now.

It seriously took me like five minutes to realize they weren't going to try to play Boogie/Brow/Howard together and this was Charlotte, not New Orleans.

I haven't decided which will be more ridiculous/funnier: watching the whole Trump administration go down in flames, or watching Dwight Howard start launching three-pointers.
