The Bulls held their own against the Heat this year, but it's still a helluva draw to have to play Miami so early. Ben Wallace will have to have the series of his life in containing Shaq.

That ant happening. He plays Shaq straight up man to man -- Shaq will wipe the floor with him all night long.... Just like he did in last years playoffs. I give props to Wallace for playing him man to man, but he's no match for Shaq.

That's a long time to keep a special occasion icon. :p

I know red is there away colour, and home uniforms are whit, but does anyone else find it funny that the Toronto crowd are all wearing red, and the Nets are wearing their red uniforms?

It almost looks like they're supporting New Jersey. :p

I've decided to change my icon for the playoffs... I already feel naked without my precious bald scarred head icon under my username. :(

not to mention, this Suns icon is ugly as hell.

I would've preferred the suns logo without an orange background.

    [image=http://www.ibiblio.org/craig/draft/images/Team/suns_2.gif]

    sorta like that.

    I'd have to agree.

I do like orange more than most, though. Orange is the primary color for both my Westwood Warriors and the Suns.

I know what you mean, it's so weird whenever I temporarily change my icon, because I'm so used to my regular one.

I posted this on another board, and just decided to share it with you guys. My quick (or not so quick) thoughts on the matchups in the Bulls/Heat series.

    More thoughts...

    - The Wizards will take at least a game, probably 2, from the Cavs. I'm a pretty big Wiz fan, so I'm a tad biased, but I just don't see Cleveland as a sweeping team. Someone else from that same board posted something that I pretty much agree with. He said that the Cavs are more or less a one man team, and that eventually, that one man on that team is going to have an off-game, and it'll cost the Cavs that game. LeBron's damn good, but he's still only one player, and although the Wiz really don't have anyone who can come close to stopping him, he still won't be perfect throughout this series. I predict 4-2.

    - Disappointing performance today from the Raps, they

epic will consider what you wrote at that other board, as a love letter. :p

I have to say, there have been some very questionable calls, on both teams in the Bulls/Heat game. Not so much, the refs getting overzealous, just not paying enough attention.

Go Bulls! Wub ya epic! :)

There's a major obstacle to any kind of "repeat", and that's the presence of Stoudemire and Kurt Thomas. Last year, I wanted to see how the Lakers would do if they had to deal with Stoudemire, and this time around, that's what we'll all see.

The Lakers will be lucky to take more than one game.

Too true, but you only have to look at the last three meeting between the teams. Yes, they were three losses, but having watched two of them and hearing about the third, I can tell you they all went down to the final few minutes. Not to mention Odom, Luke, and Farmar were missing from one, and LA still kept it close. And the fact that Kwame's healthy now, and in the one game he played against Amare, he held him to 17 points.

I'm by no means saying LA will take Phoenix out (although it's possible) or that they will stop Amare, but considering we've kept close in all of our games against the Suns, and the fact that we have the best closer in the game, I'm pretty sure all the games will be tight, and LA should be able to take a couple.

Kurt Thomas is a non-factor. He'll mske a difference against a team like SA or Houston, where there are efficient bigs to guard, but against LA? They're going to check him in to shut down who? Bynum? Let them. I'm all for Kurt Thomas playing as many minutes as he wants, all it'll do is slow down the Phoenix offense. Fine by me. I wouldn't expect him to get much PT though, or for him to make much of a difference at all on the floor in this series.

The only way the Suns lose the series is if Nash gets injured.

The most damning evidence possible comes from the last game, when the Lakers were rallying with Bryant out, only to quickly fall flat and let the game get out of hand after he returned.

    Suns in five.

    :*

Zizz is right about Hinrich. Hinrich probably plays Wade better than anyone and he won't have it easy against him. but major props to Thabo, though, with Hinrich in foul trouble, he did a brilliant job in his first playoff game.

but i loves me some Deng... one of the few bad moves by the Suns administration in recent years has been essentially giving us Deng for nothing. :-D
