I need to know the length of a standard lightsaber. The blade and the handle. I know in "I Jedi" Corran's saber is 133 cm long. In the ANH novelization, the saber luke gets from Ben is a little over a meter. 133 cm is significantly more than a meter - so is there a standard "official" length of a saber blade? Also, the handle is supposed to be 12 inches right? Can someone helpe me find the official numbers please.

    Thanks,
    DarthParth

A meter is about average. Adjustable sabres go from 2 meters to half a meter, with the standard at 1.

    I don't think the lenght matters....once you don't lap-off a limb.... :p

ok, so Corran's was just unnaturally long (no pun intended)?

Also, how long is the handle supposed to be?

I think the blade is about a meter, with a handle, I'd guess, about a 30 cm average.

It's not size that matters, it's what you do with it that counts.

I'd say about 1.1 meters or 110 cm.

People...try to understand...it's not the lenght of the blade that matters, it's how you use it...

Corram did well when he fought the Vong for the first time......

    But Darth Maul was Pitty-full......

I think he was relying on size alone....

You implying that Maul had a double saber because he was only half a man, so to speak?

    Something like that...

Or maybe he thought if he had one twice as long he could get the job done in half the time....

But he did have skills, so I can't say he was 100% on a size trip......

That blind dude in Darkness had a fairly long lightsabre handle. He used it as a club or staff quite a bit. Very cool.

Length of the hilt or blade depends mostly on the Jedi that makes it.

Obviously for larger aliens their gonna want a longer handle. Lightsabers are highly personal, no two will be the same. Like how Corran built his first one out of a speeder bike handle or how Nomi Sunriders was just a smooth cylinder.

    There are no set standards.

Oh, there are other ways to lack in size than just skills...

Lacking in size of a certain external body structure. So they overcompensate in lightsaber size, ;).

Kind of like people with big cars, or jumbo superweapons.

although I'm not too sure but I think it means: Rolling On The Floor Laughing.
atleast in the nordic countries forum ROTFLMAO means: rolling on the floor laughing my ass of. I figured it was just a shortened version.
