Phx Need Tech help from film & movie people

I DL 3 .avi files.
It is of a current japanese tv show.
But no matter what codec I DL, they will not show any video.
I hear sound though.
What can I do?

 

Have you tried DIVX 5.02? I downloaded that and it resolved the issue with 99% of the *.avi files I couldn't view.

If you can't find it online, I could probably email it to you. It's about 3MB.

Hey Bunny. I had the same problem myself. Even after installing the latest Divx codecs I still had problems. I was able to watch the movie using the Divx player, but the Divx player really sucks! I also updated my system to Windows Media 9 and that seemed to fix it.

 

Ahh, good idea webb!
Windows update has media 9 codec DL as well as media player 9.
DLing as i type this.
I will see if it works soon.

turns out, i need a different codec called Xvid.
But every DL from Kazaa is Trojaned or Virused.

Kazaa Lite++ is still poop compared to Shareaza

I have divx 5.0.5, xvid, & several others in 1, virus free, no registration # or hack, free install .exe

Now I can watch my Live-Action Sailor Moon episodes!
